. I know some hole in the wall bars and pizza spots that blow the big name chains( Giordanos, Unos, Home Run Inn, etc) out the waterYup, that’s what I’ve heard Chicago people don’t even eat deep dish like that and that “tavern style” cracker thin pizza is more popular.I got some family visiting Chi from Texas and they asked for deep dish. I had to explain to them nobody in Chicago really eats deep dish
I can count on 2 hands the time I’ve actually ordered deep dish
It’s all about the tavern style thin crust. I know some hole in the wall bars and pizza spots that blow the big name chains( Giordanos, Unos, Home Run Inn, etc) out the water

I might just drive to dolton and get me a Italian fiesta pizza tonight
Been here 8 years and that's what I'm finding. Like people will eat it and love it, but it's only a couple time of year thing. You gotta wait 60+ minutes to get it at most places.Yup, that’s what I’ve heard Chicago people don’t even eat deep dish like that and that “tavern style” cracker thin pizza is more popular.
