Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (April 24, 2025)

I never clicked in here because I didn't want to chance any spoilers. This is an all-time classic; absolute masterpiece.

Only a handful of games truly hit different and this is one of them. I will be thinking about this one for a long time.

Beautiful art direction, beautiful music and a beautiful story about grief and the way we process it.

A lot of games get hyped to the moon and there's usually something you can nitpick but I can't think of anything with Expedition 33. Loved it from beginning to end.

I didn't do everything and see every corner but I thoroughly enjoyed every second. Could not recommend this enough to any mature gamer out there.

Also the DLC added super versions of base game bosses (Simon, Lampmaster, etc.) to Endless Tower.

I haven't been able to beat any of them yet, they're insane. I could do a one shot build, and probably will, on Expert I'm getting destroyed.

Yeah I did end up at endless tower earlier and faced the new Lampmaster, he cleaned me out real quick and I made that U-turn straight after

Verso's Drafts in Act 3, next to Lumiere. Whole new area, new enemies, bosses, weapons, Pictos, etc. And it's free.

I tried for 3 hrs to beat the new Simon… gave up.. I’ll be back

Yeah I think I'm going to have to give up.

I f*cked myself over going into New Game + because most of the strategies are for NG. But I had no idea the DLC was dropping so soon, started NG+a week before the Game Awards.

In NG+ the new bosses have way more HP, none of those strategies work.

I can get Duollistes or whatever it's called down to around 15% but that's it. The 2nd HP bar I mean.

And this is with Verso pretty much soloing the first HP bar himself. After that Duollistes has two turns every time you have two turns with Cheater. I can't even set up any combos because of it.

Again, all of this would 100% be possible if not for NG+. I'm not even going to try the other bosses.

Dude did 58 million and it took off 2/3rds of the HP bar. In NG+ I was doing 80 million and it barely took off half.

They let you adjust the HP up to make the game more difficult, they should let you adjust it down for if you're in NG+. The funny thing is I beat the rest of the NG+ with anywhere from 10x-100x enemy HP just to make it interesting and never struggled like I am with the new Endless Tower bosses.
