bulls are playing the hornets tonight, and the entire top section of the arena doesn't even have the lights on.

I checked stubhub and saw that tickets for the next hornets game cost under $2 and you can get really really good tickets for under $50. a lot of good tickets are under $20. I'd go to plenty of NBA games if they were that reasonably priced here.

last year after i went to the Lakers Hornets games they played the Wizards and tickets were going for $4 mid level. If i lived in a NBA city with a shyt team i'd :eat: off them prices

B..B...But lets bring up every possible explanation except for race...

I was born and raised in Indianapolis, when they were selling out Market Square Arena with Reggie, The Davis Brothers, Mark Jackson, Travis Best, Jalen Rose.....so this isn't about the city not supporting black players.

It's just in the last few years Indianapolis has become a HUGE football city. Peyton Manning and the Colts took over the city, got a new stadium built, got the superbowl to come to the city. At the same time the Pacers had the worst stretch of their existence .

Indiana is a small state and market, but the Indianapolis Area (2 hours in any direction) there are TONS of sports options, Indiana/Purdue/Butler/Notre Dame , The Colts and Pacers...the Pacers picked a bad time to self destruct in a somewhat fickle market with other alternatives when you're not doing well. People just stopped attending Pacers games and took their business elsewhere

Plus the Pacers were destroyed in one of the most ratchet moments in Sports history, during that time Jamal Tinsley and Stephen Jackson were shooting up clubs, but the year before when they were 61-21 they were selling out with Black Players starting

But the brawl plus the last few years of losing really drove away people. I admit these cacs do cac but they support black players and teams, Hell the Colts with Harrison, Wayne, Freeney, Mathis, even Bob Sanders these guys are legends in Nap

Basically as someone from the town I don't think it's about race as much as people are painting it out to be in here

actually the majority isn't (over 75% of the NHL is from North America), but whatever.

north america, meaning canada, and especially french speaking provinces (we know how much the heartland loves french people)....how many of that 75% are American born white players, fool? Hockey is a Canadian sport.

there is only one french speaking province.
but you know that, cuz you seem to know everything the way you talk out your ass and all.

Americans make up about 25% of the NHL, but their showing in national tournaments (like the worlds, world juniors, and the olympics) have really brought them alot of positive attention.

again, it doesn't matter. You just seem to want to argue for the sake of arguing.

the fact of the matter is that this has little to do with race and more to do with other factors.

Daamn, I wish I could get tickets for prices like that.
I haven't seen $20 seats in years.

just looking economically around the country and you can tell which teams are having good attendance based on their "markets"

man the price of our nosebleed tickets are more than hornets tickets in the lower 100 section.

:ohlawd:

I'd go to 10x the amount of games if the tickets were like half the rpice or more

While theyres some of that probably can someone explain to me why its ok that black people dont like the nhl because they have nobody to identify with but if white peoople dont like the nba for that reason their card carrying klansmen?

Whast the difference? Just because people want to watch a sport with players they can identify with doesnt automatically make them bigots

Because us Black people, when we don't like something. We just say we don't like it.

Just listen to what Colin said those people from a Indy station said. Calling players thugs, and criminals.

whats the excuse for teams like Detroit, Atlanta, Philly and Washington having poor attendance then??

sure indianapolis is a pretty white city, but those other cities aint. Why aren't all the black "fans" there supporting those teams??

Cacs huh?

:usure:

Can't really speak on the rest of the teams, but the Pistons sorry as shyt and its a city in the midst of an economic famine. nikkas not driving 45 mins away from the city to go see a shytty team when they barely making it. When they were winning and the economy was better they were pretty much top 5 in attendance. I'm not saying the Pacers attendance is low cause of racist cacs, but that's a lazy ass comparison.

But why do Dallas, OKC, Salt Lake, etc have strong fanbases

A lot of white people nationwide hate the NBA because its majority black, but most cities still have enough non racist whites to support the team. Indy seems like a special case. I do think college basketball has something to do with it. Charlotte has always lagged in attendance as well

but lets be real for a minute.
is it REALLY racist if white ppl don't watch basketball because its majority black?

or is it similar to how alot of blacks don't watch shows like seinfeld and friends because its majority white?

why do the pacers have such poor attendance despite making the playoffs and having all star representation the past few years between hibbert, granger, and george?

I don't really know, could be a mix of the racist shyt with the fact that they play a brand of ball that fans find boring.

Gary, Indiana
and on top of that teams like Washington, NO, Cleveland, etc ALL have star players that are exciting to watch.

shieet, me personally I'd rather go watch John Wall or Kyrie Irving than the fukking Pacers. I don't care what their record is

Just finished watching John Wall play. You'd be better off catching a Pacer game. Paul George is still an exciting player.
