you think he pays 10k a year in taxes off 200 grand? try 50

I don't even do that anymore.Thats because you spend so much money on prostitutes you fukking moron
Exactly. I pay more in tax than most people make in a year. It's my single largest expense, and it's not like I'm some super wealthy guy with a ton of loopholes at my disposal. People in my income bracket get hit hardest.you think he pays 10k a year in taxes off 200 grand? try 50
Living like paupar=several trips a yearI don't even do that anymore.
Also, "living like a pauper" is all relative. I go on several trips a year, contribute towards my retirement, paid off half my loans in two years and have around $30k in the bank. What I mean is that I live pretty fukking middle class for someone with no kids of a wife who would be living like a king anywhere else not named LA or San Francisco.
I could be owning a substantial amount of property elsewhere, whereas in New York City, you truly get what you pay for. More affordable areas will be further away from Manhattan and that just adds to commuting time. When you work as many hours in a high stress job as I do, you place a premium on sleep. Elsewhere in the country, people don't have to make this kind of a choice.

This. There's a reason why investment bankers making millions still work.As someone born and raised and currently living in NYC. the shyt is NOT worth it. Even if you rich. U don't get what u put into it. At all. Not even really all that nice either. Even the rich areas.
Paying $1200 for a two bedroom in a nice area of Queens![]()

think you'll still be alive in 3 years brehs[/QUO
No we justify it by stating the fact incomes and career opportunities are greater in the north east and west coast compared to the rest of the country. Now if your have a career getting by on the balls of your ass and that job can easily be had elsewhere, then maybe you should go elsewhereoh look, another "NYC is expensive thread" where New Yorkers come in and *juelz santana gif* themselves, trying to justify the outrageous cost of living.
b-b-b-b-b-b-but i can get a slice of pizza at 3am, can your city do that?

I'm only able to afford to travel because i meticulously check for good deals every day and use credit card points. I traveled to Asia last spring for $300 roundtrip. I'm going to Europe next March for the same amount. This is as much as people spend on airfare going to Chicago or Miami.Living like paupar=several trips a year![]()
what type of work you do?I make almost $200k a year and I live like a fukking pauper. NYC is no place to be if you aspire to save and build wealth. It costs too damn much.
I have a niche skill set and there are fewer jobs like mine outside of NYC. Been trying forever to branch out and move somewhere cheaper. The fukk You Live In NYC Breh? lol
Ibankingwhat type of work you do?
This. If it's not high crime, it has to be pretty remote and cut off from the MTA grid. Ain't no such thing as a good deal in NYC.
What's the "nice" area you live in?
