This made me realize I've never seen a brother doing Crossfit :russ:

actual athletes don't need to pretend to be athletes.

my white co-worker who is actually into cross fit hardcore (only in it for the money, he's part owner of a box) told me: "if you never played a sport, are a suburban house wife, or a military flunky, cross fit is for you."

theres a cross fit shyt near where I live. Never really seen any real results from anyone in that shyt..


as far as those box jumps man that shyt all mental :sadcam:

seen my gym get some new box jumps today :gladbron:

they the same as the old ones :camby: shyt will cut the fukk outta your shins :camby:

I seen some boxes on instagram I think from Sac State or some shyt that has a solid top surface and padding around the edges, I need that in my life :noah:

I tried it for 3 months. Yes, I was the only brotha there:russ: . I just hated doing squats/leg exercises everyday! I was just like damn can we work on upper body 1 day at least so my legs can get a rest? They was like strict upper body workouts:stopitslime: Plus I HATED doing weighted workouts on the clock. That's the "snap city" everybody talks about when it comes to Crossit. When you get tired your form goes to shyt and trying to do Olympic lifts when you're gassed out it a denfinite recipe for disaster. It did show me however that I have another gear I can tap into if I really push myself and it was cool having people cheer for me when I was trying to finish a workout. In the end I just decided to go back to regular weight training at my old gym for about 1/3 the price I was paying monthly to do Crossfit.

I actually did that shyt for 3 months untill I realized just how bad it is for your joints :laugh:

Crossfit is like the jehovah witness or mormon who bangs on your door saturday morning of the gym world. I also find it disrespectful to a good extent,how they deliberately mess around with legitimate exercises that are tried and tested. I got to a hardcore bodybuilding gym,and while anything goes in terms of exercises,grunting, chalk, sweat ,etc etc, if any member did exercises like that in my gym,they would be told once not to do it, and second time they would be thrown out by the owner I have seen it happen . . Because training like that,you are not just putting yourself in danger but others around you.

I have no idea why these people don't just do legitimate circuit training with their own bodyweight, it would be far safer for them, and you can build a very decent body doing so,there are tons of different exercises, you can still do it in a group setting, and instructors could still charge to run classes . It is tried and tested,;less likely to cause injury,more room for mistakes , leave the iron for the professionals, who will teach people the right technique and form.

shyt literally pisses me off. i wanna laugh at these people, but i just feel sorry for their ignorance. as a person that has spent years and years in a gym, preaching (and living) the importance of compound lifts and proper form. crossfit comes thru and just shyts all over everything. crossfit is straight up disrespectful to the art of weightlifting.




what works? lifting weights? of course that works.
