A coach doesn't tell you to drop your head. But if you drop your shoulders...the head and neck attached to it comes along with it.

When you're runnings drills through the machine where you cover the ball with both hands, you're leaning shoulder forward with the head being in front.

You can't police that.

right and its your facemask and hairline that makes contact with the other players shoulder/helmet....which is still legal.

the rule is stupid because that instance rarely ever happens where a player aggressively turns his head downward as a bulldozer(which is crazy dangerous to)....but I doubt this really ever gets called.

If you take the helmet off I bet they'd be able to control their actions.

Dog....when you're a 5'9 running back like I was getting hit by someone 6'0 or over....they're hitting the top of your helmet (which is a part of my theory on why short RBs are the best).

Stop acting like football is a place where you get hit in these "fixed areas"

We agree here.

I LONG SAID they should get rid of the helmets if they want all of this to end.

I can't front my dude....I used my head as a weapon....and in doing so...it earned me a scholarship to one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

I can't lie and act like I wasnt' a dude using the crown of his helmet to catch a niqqa in his ear hole.....or damn near killing a niqqa watching a punt rolling on the ground and not seeing me curl around as I coiled like a snake upward into his chin :scheme: There is merit to it being a used as a weapon...but that was mostly as a blocker.

yeah but were you ever turning your head down and forming a right angle with your chest?

Ive played and watched a ton of football and that rarely every happens regardless of height

most cases should be blatant thats all im sayin

That's the point tho, there is no blantant for shyt like this. You're basically trying to determine what's in a players head, and no one can do that. Everything happens to fast on that field, that I can see a situation happening where a player catches the ball, turns low, and hits a defender helmet to helmet. Like that AP video. To you, it's clean, but to everyone else, obviously dude lowers his head and strikes the defender with his helmet. So...it's much better to just let these men play rather than force them to change something that's instinctive.

cats put the video of AD up and i said he using his shoulder...leadin with your head is not gonna get someone off up you like that AD expose is the best at exposing that lazy tacklin...the shyt it seem liek they tryna get rid of

Yes, it will. It's not just Peterson's head hitting you, but he's also bringing like 230 lbs along with it. His head hitting you in the head could cause you to fall back. I really question whether or not some of you cats played football beyond Pop Warner.

Lazy tackling, IMO, is diving at someone's feet lol

No doubt I know how it can help a player on the football field. But my only point is it's not proper technique and it's dangerous. And this isn't speculation like "it looks like it could be dangerous". It is. We got muhfukkas killing themselves after retirement because their brains are fukked up.

Would you rather run headfirst into a brick wall without a helmet or with a helmet? Me? I'd rather skip running headfirst into brick walls altogether. :manny:

by default at my height, I was getting into head on collisions.

Beng a shorter player, I won most of those battles by default.

You know who is a perfect example of this? John Riggins. He ran with the most forward lean out of any RB in history IMO. All he gave you was helmet and shoulder pads. By default, he was getting into those collisions.
