You guys still don't get it, none of these artists you mentioned markets themselves as billionaire businessmen who doesn't have to make music. Bono and U2 have always been artists FIRST. Jay-Z's whole shtick was that he wasn't a rapper, he's a hustler who just so happens to rap and is this BOSS when in reality he's just an artist and a worker. He takes out large advances from Live Nation and has to get on the road every year to support his lifestyle.
He's not Robert F. Smith (a real black billionaire). He's just an artist and a worker and there's nothing wrong with that........but so many people get caught up in the lies. That's all Sc00n was trying to tell everyone. Believe half of what you see, none of what you hear.
Respect broski but Playing devils advocate, I thought of an alternate perspective, since Jay-Zs whole Schlick is imma hustler 1st, rapper/artist 2nd, then wouldn’t it behoove him as a hustler to get as much money as possible from different deals & business ventures, since he has a hustler BOSS mentality, let’s look at from a street perspective, if you got the money upfront 2 buy 50 kilos, but you’re connect is willing 2 front you 50 kilos on consignment at a cheaper price, then why spend all you’re money, if somebody’s willing 2 back you financially, Does that make you less of a boss or plug? Especially since your still supplying you’re clientele, I look at micheal rapino & live nation as a plug & bigger connect that’s supplying Jay-Z
