I respectfully disagree.

Boycotts send a stronger message.

Online reviews can be fudged, and...trust...the owners already know their limitations and issues.

But...when you have a huge following on social media and could massively alter a business' profits by a single TikTok...there has to be more deliberate thought on cause and effect.

I vet you will have Black folks cheering if these restaurants go out of business...then complain that they have no Black businesses.

It's insane.

He conducts his reviews just fine. His negative reviews aren’t even negative. His supposed negativity is the most tame compared to prolly any other review. His “sincere” honesty is a big part of why he has such a big following.

Again, these businesses ASK AND BEG him to review their spots. So yeah if it’s not a great experience a business should look to improve, not trash the reviewer that again YOU ASKED TO COME TO REVIEW YOUR RESTAURANT.

If they are turning a profit with 1.5 hour long lines and bad service...and people CHOOSE to keep going and they are in the black.

Good for them.

People run to subpar cac, asian, hindu stores and throw their money at them and get treated like shyt, or thieves. But you don't see them on tiktok acting militant.

Yes. They will stay in business if you keep spending money.

Does a review stop you from spending money?

Yes. I believe for most people reviews play a big role in determining whether you spend money………

Yeah.

I've gone to spots if I've heard good things about it and I won't fukk with something if people give me the :whoa:.

There's a reason why the ATL restaurants that got the "bad" reviews are on some :birdman: shyt right now. If they weren't worried about reviews affecting their bottom line, they wouldn't have invited him.

You can’t boycott without first having criticism though :dwillhuh:

The only time boycotts should happen is after critiques have been blatantly ignored. And it’s alot worse to get on tik tok to call for a boycott than it is to offer constructive criticism to a business offering a shytty service

Some of you all fail to appreciate that this is a commonly discussed issue in Atlanta.

Keith didn’t discover something new. He is simply someone with a massive platform who is echoing the sentiments of many. Thats why this shyt when viral because too many restaurants are on some bullshyt.

I don’t even know what the fukk some of you are talking about saying that service culture doesn’t matter. :why:

Seems like a fools errand to ask this guy to come to your spot without having rules of engagement.

That's the businesses' fault if you trust this guy to understand the norms of your city.

Like I said before...it's a culture conflict, not a restaurant issue.

I own a food service business and I'm not a wannabe hustler/dirtbag.

I have pride in my work and I treat people with dignity and respect.

I'm currently operating in GA for the time being, but I know my lane. I market and cater to people that pay my price for excellent service and quality food.

So yeah, I'm biased when it comes to protecting hard working Black business owners.

The businesses that asked him to come out and didn't research his approach and took an L over some tiktok shyt lost.

To double down on some diva shyt is doubly stupid.

At the same time he's dumb for going to pretentious ass Atlanta looking for some wholesome nice guy review bullshyt.

i actually live in atlanta and i don't think the restaurants are bad :yeshrug:
there's plenty of places i can get good cheap food of all cuisines. if you going to the viral places then yeah, there might be a wait time and a premium and bad parking and running out of items or whatever but you don't have to do that.

there's like 1000 restaurants here lol.

THINK!

Truth hurts...

Most of these restaurants gotta do better and learn to take constructive criticism.

Would Gordon Ramsay be getting Death threats if he said something??

Probably not and we know how blunt he is.

Kevin Lee is getting the Homer Simpson treatment(If u remember that Simpsons episode where he was a restaurant critic)

Again, these sorry mofos down here deserve to be called out.

Websites be absolute trash. When I go to a website all I want to see are the hours, the menu, and a link to reservations. nikkas be having all types of animations, a life story, a pop up showing how you can be in the VIP email club, BUT NO MENU OR LINK FOR RESERVATIONS. I gotta go on yelp and hope someone took a camera pic of the menu.

These folks treat restaurants like it’s a club scene. They think you should consider yourself lucky to even get in. Once you in there it’s a privilege to scan a fukking dirty QR code to see the menu, read what all they won’t do for you, purchase overpriced drinks, listen to R&B, and receive piss poor service. The kicker is now they come by with those electronic card reader things with a 20% gratuity already added to the bill, but they don’t mention it, and then ask you to enter your tip for the total.

The whole thing is a scam.

I have a family with 2 small kids so I don’t get to take my wife out often. So when I do I want to make a reservation well in advance so I know how our evening will flow. So that rules out a lot of black restaurants because I simply don’t want to deal with the foolishness. I just want good service and good food. You can keep your grass wall, neon, stale chicken and waffles, and over priced sugar bomb drinks. I’ll go to a place where they actually understand how a restaurant should be run.

The food. See too many restaurants down here are opened by people who aren’t chefs. They hustlers and the restaurant is their hustle. That’s why they all serving the same damn brunch menu all day long. They looking for cheap food that can be masked by “vibe” and sugary drinks. These folks are not down here opening dinner restaurants because dinner requires more than chicken tenders, waffles, and grits. That’s why they can’t make substitutions on the menu or accommodate allergies, because there isn’t an actual chef involved anywhere.

Don't go...:dahell:

I can't understand why you don't just take your family to a normal Black restaurant.

You obviously can see the shyt from a mile away.
