I understand how government works. So yes, I understand that both need to get thier plans passed. That said, they both list plans with rates on their website. You can play the game of maybe they mean something other than what they actually lay out in their plans, but I can only judge a person on what they actually say.

Hillary rates tax people under 250k the same as now while raising taxes on the wealthy. Trumps plan cuts tax on everyone, but also gives massive cuts to the wealthy, including lowering capital gains, elimanting estate tax, and lower corporate rate.

Do you dispute that?
:francis: Whats there to dispute? the plans are posted..we are analyzing ...The real question is whther you actually believe the simplistic motto "tax the rich more" is the panacea to all this countrys economic ailments?

Ehhh.. Here is a less biased analysis...the thing to keep in mind is these are all projections and estimates

Its basically a more muted variety of Reaganomics with a simplification of tax code...which isnt something radically new like the liberal media is pretending it is
Lol...who in the "liberal media" is saying it's something radically new? Everyone is saying it's the same :flabbynsick: supply side economics that has been proven to not result in its theorized outcome.

I don't know if "tax the rich more" is the magic bullet, but I do know that trickle down hasn't worked.

:ohhh: Oh ...Im sorry i completely forgot who was appointing the secretary of treasury in 1993...remind me who that was...whatshisname
Treasury doesn't set tax policy you goofball

Tax & fiscal policy has to go through Congress, so Clinton did not have "control" over 1995 tax policy :snoop:

:patrice: If you two are quite done being obtuse .. lets all admit the president sets the policy tone at the very least and if the president is very influential they get most if not all of the changes they ask for.

Thats why certain changes are called the Reagan tax cuts or the Bush tax cuts and so on...they arent called congressional cuts

:laff:

They're saying what tax policy they propose. Congress has to ratify the laws.

Read a bunch of Cato Institute shyt and not the Constitution, brehs.

Article 1, Section 8
The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;
