That would be on the Democrats not the voters imo. Our tent should not include valorizing racists, should not include subservience to AIPAC and Israel, etc. Winning as diet-Republicans is not a win to me but I understand that may not be the case for everyone.

Despite some bad faith actors on here, Newsome is not anyone’s first choice on this board. With that said, and as I’ve mentioned, he is accumulating name ID for the run of the mill person that just scrolls social media all day. There is a decent likelihood he could emerge as the winner of the 28 primary.
With him on the ticket vs Vance/Trump 3.0/whatever MAGA throws at us next to solidify their authoritarian/fascist regime it does fall back to the voters as it always does.

I hope along his path to the nomination he is forced to articulate why he thought a racist bigots work should continue.
He likely will and unfortunately for many economically anxious people some on here have said we need to win back, that won’t be a disqualification. @Outlaw mentioned this is all politics. His son and his gen z friends like him to some degree. So for every @KFBF he loses he may gain two cac mambas. So again that leaves us with the possibility of him on the ticket vs Vance/Trump 3.0/whatever MAGA and from there it’s up to the voters to decide how much things really matter to them and the people they say they care about.
Some democrats still cling to the fantasy that pandering to bigots will win their votes, while neglecting their own base. Same losing playbook for the last 12 years.

Stephen a Smith is a republican and would only hasten peoplen leaving the dem party. California has the biggest us population , of course its number 1 in all those things

I'm also in California. My instinct is to say that none of that will matter as far as him securing the Democratic nomination. Pritzker likely gets hit with similar criticism. Shapiro has the IDF stuff hanging over his head, I doubt he'd get much shyt about it from other candidates though. Actual accomplishments won't matter as much as "vibes”, that being said SAS is the exact kind of voter Newsom seems to be courting. But people that had no problem voting for Trump are all of a sudden going to be harping on Newsom’s record.

Oh he could win a primary, but a general election?
Im doubtful mainly because we have terrible democrat leadership who is at war with its own voters.

If he runs against Trump I don't see him winning. If it's against Vance who knows.
