No they dont. Chicago is not known for acquiring big time FA's breh, where did you get that from? The ONLY "big-time" FA they ever acquired, that I remember, was Carlos Boozer.....that's it.:heh:

It's actually HARDER for Chicago to get players because the shadow of Michael Jordan looms over that franchise, and no elite player wants to go there and play in his shadow imo:manny:
LA has the shadow of Magic, Kareem, Shaq etc.. that doesn't stop players from going there. Same with Boston with Bird, Mchale, Russel etc...

We're the 3rd largest media capital in the world and we can't sign marquee free agents. Somethings amiss here.

It's actually HARDER than it should be for Chicago to get players now, because the shadow of Michael Jordan looms over that franchise, and no elite player wants to go there and play in his shadow imo:manny:

:mjpls: So they'd rather play in the shadows in LA or Boston? New York hasn't won shyt in decades yet no player wanted to go there. Not even Joe Johnson.

I don't think Chicago is the problem. Most of their talent has been homegrown. They also now have a young superstar in Rose and a defensive anchor in his prime in Noah. They also have a legit head coach. Melo would be dumb not to go there. And any player that shy's away from trying to bring titles back to Chicago because of Jordan's legacy is too p*ssy and won't win many chips anyway.

If your GM is doing his damn job, you wouldn't need to have an impact :mjpls:

Rose is an MVP in his prime years. He's only 25 He shouldn't have to recruit nikkas. Melo just turned 30. If he plays in Chicago he will have a point guard that will give more quality years and more opportunities for titles. I mean this is a no brainer. It's really Melo's decision. If he's just looking for a quick title fix opportunity then he can go to Dallas or even Houston but Chicago has the better coach and two players in their primes.

But the relationship/chemistry between the players and future plan most of the time put that team ahead of another

King James' blueprint made this perfectly clear
Rose hasn't accomplished shyt for any other all stars and superstars in the case of Melo, to want to team up with him

only on the coli does recruiting = ass kissing. Nobody should be above picking up the phone to gauge another players interest in the team and express you'd like to have them on the squad, that isnt ass kissing.

Who says Rose won't do that. Fans, writers and coli nikkas want him to be in the meetings with all of them giving recruiting pitches and shyt. Why should he have to do that? Noah is cool with Melo and he already reached out to them. Melo has played against the Bulls so he already knows how they play. This whole discussion is stupid and nikkas just need shyt to talk about.

The breh is forgetting the reputation that their FO has. If you could short change Jordan and Pippen, then everybody else could get it. I recalled reading somewhere that there are trivial uniform rules too, like no head bands or some shyt

Where did anyone in here say that?

Maybe ya'll dont realize it, but reaching out to players holds weight. Ask Battier or Ray Allen, its the only reason they were on the Heat. Imagine LeBron sitting there like "I mean..if they wanna come they can come."

He said the Bulls sells themselves......obviously they dont:patrice:

Michael Jordan is the GOAT player ever, brought 6 rings to Chicago, and they have never even been to a NBA Finals game without him on the roster. LA has been in the NBA Finals at least 1x in every decade, excluding the 90s. There's a difference.

Lakers = a franchise known for many HOFers and many Championships....Bulls = a franchise known for Michael Jordan and his legacy:mjpls:

nikkas aint going to Chicago breh, the proof is in the pudding. Nobody WANTS to be compared to Jordan on their OWN team....damn sure aint trying to live up to the legacy Jordan left behind in Chicago.

Again, if a team like the Bulls has Carlos Boozer as the biggest FA they've ever signed since 1984, they obviously do not sell themselves

dude has missed about 2 1/2 out of the last 3 seasons. him doing recruiting is the least he could do since all he's done is sit on the bench and eat a tub of candy. last I checked he's been getting a paycheck all this time.

I know plenty of folks who do shyt at work that's technically not in their job description.

Rose doesn't get compared or judged by Jordan. If you're a superstar player that's top 2 you're going to get compared to Jordan no matter where you play.

Apparently so, you see how many big time players LA has acquired over their franchise history vs Chicago?:mjpls:

Chicago is NOT the problem.....Jordan's legacy is the problem. Nobody wants to go there and have to deal with the pressure of playing up to his standards:manny:

The ONLY player I can think of who wanted to desperately go to Chicago, if they didnt include in the trade Luol Deng, was Kobe Bean Bryant.....and we know he has the heart of a Champion:yeshrug:

Rose is a PG and was drafted there......we're talking about FA's willingly coming there. 2 different things.

Yes, the Bulls could DRAFT a superstar, but imo that's also gonna be the ONLY way the get a superstar on their team.

No FA is gonna go to Chicago, because Jordan's "legacy" is still largely hanging over the franchise.
