So what if people who act on their biological urges do not pass this screening?

We aborting every baby that’s made to unfit parents? :usure:

Oh and who makes the screen? You’re trusting the government to give you the metrics on what it takes to raise a baby? What if they deem you unfit but you have a family of support willing to step in?

slippery slope

The answer is no. Extreme birth socialism is not the answer.
What's the issue here ? If you can't afford to maintain a Meredes Benz don't buy one. If you can't afford to maintain a mansion (utilities, pool boys, landscaping) don't buy a big house. If more people would be disciplined and resist "biological urges" like fukking adults, we'd be better off economically. So since people can't resist their "biological urges there needs to be a system of correction. I don't care if people who can't afford kids get kids but the issue is it trickles over to the ones who don't. So yes, abortions if you cannot maintain a human being's life who didn't ask to be here. If you want kids, become financially stable, if not find a fukking hobby it's that fukking simple.

(re: family support hypothetical) I'm willing to bet you're a female with that response. The sad thing is that you actually believe that you have a point. You see women are so used to being coddled and not having to be accountable that you are inherently dependent in nature and see nothing wrong. Anyone who's family has to help support their child doesn't deserve to be a parent. You sound like the type to ask your folks to pay your rent and think it's okay. Be a responsible adult and account for YOUR actions.

IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD KIDS, DON'T MAKE fukkING KIDS.

The only way to enforce this would be to kill the male and female reproductive processes and only allow it through government controlled facilitation.

Like instead of using a condom or taking birth control you'd have to have a prescription after a background check and screening to allow you to make a child.

People fukk and fukk around without the intent of having a child. That's just biology.

I agree with the premise but it’s a VERY slippery slope.

Besides “allowing” people to have have children, what would be the criteria that would make someone or something qualified to make that decision for other people? Who’s approving the requests or whatever? What personal bias do they possess?

They wouldn't even have to make any laws. Just ruin the incentives. This day and age the process of having a kid is easy as fukk

Take away all the Tax breaks for people having kids that they aren't mentally and financially fit to have.

- Take away all the Tax credits for Adults with children
- Take away all of the government programs for Adults with children
- Make Child Birth Hospital expenses higher with higher interest rates
- Make Daycare more expensive
- Etc etc

It wouldn't completely stop it, but it would severely hamper it

what’s funny is that people tend to get so personally invested :mjlol:. “I sound like the type” bro you don’t know me. There’s no need for personal attacks or attempts at personal attacks. I’m good financially :mjlol:

back to the point:
What does “afford kids” mean?

you’re putting a financial threshold as if those costs can’t change.

If I have a car and can afford it and then lose my job, I can sell the car. :yeshrug:

If I have a kid and can afford it at the and then lose my job and now I can no longer “financially afford” the kids then what?

And who decides the threshold? How do you stop biases? Let’s say you need a degree to have a child.

cool

So you’re going to make Lebron James go to college so he can have a kid?

Let’s say you need to make 100k a year?

so you’re going to stop someone making 85,000 who works remotely, who may have liquid or non liquid capacity to care for the child?

what happens when the government raises that threshold? One year it’s 100k, the next is 105. Are we going to force employers from each sector to raise their salaries so that reasonable employees can have kids?

what if someone is passionate about working in fast food and living modestly. They can afford a small one bedroom apartment. They plan on living a modest life on a modest wage. You’re telling me the government can say “well you’re not ambitious enough have children. In order to have children you need to make more money, and we deem that you don’t make enough” that’s the kind of world you want to live in? :dahell:

There’s no sensible way to restrict people from having children. You know what the government can do:

invest in resources toward prevention
Invest in a better healthcare system (specifically prenatal)
Invest in education for impoverished neighborhoods.

No need to get emotional and type in all caps breh. It doesn’t help your point. :yeshrug:

No. Anybody in favor of that check this:

Do you REALLY trust the government to be in charge of who gets to legally have children or not? Does that make any logical sense?

The same government that can't even pave roads, has made up laws on the spot to control minorities, and other petty fukkrey
