Does it not feel like it's almost Christmas to anyone else?

I've never been a Scrooge or whatever but this year just doesn't have the "feel" of Christmas for me at all. I want to have the spirit but I just don't. Maybe the whole end of the world thing offset it. Or maybe all the tragedies that have happened recently overshadowed it. I can't believe it's in 3 days. I think I just outgrow everything. Oh well.

but Ive been away from my family so much this month that its been kind of depressing

i think its because there are no kids left in my family. nobody really gets into like they used to. when i have some kids I'm gonna spoil them for the holidays.

I feel what you're saying. I've also noticed that not many homes are decorated. Another factor for me would be the weather, its been a pretty warm winter here in TX and supposedly it's going to rain on Christmas Day

I got a feeling that Society has given up on Big Christmas Events. Not even the kids are happy anymore, compared to the past. Back in the day, I used to be one happy ass head with them presents under the tree.

Everyone around has decorated houses and Christmas trees in the window. Someone threw the fake tree we had in the trash so it's for holiday spirit around here.

Probably sip champagne and give my brother his gift, it will be boring.

I kind of wish I had kids to buy gifts for. lol All my siblings are grown and we buy each other gifts all the time. Seeing my parents will be great but they don't go all out like they used to for Christmas.

I'm listening to some great Christmas music right now too.


Dammit I want to be in the spirit. I decorated and everything. I haven't watched any Christmas Specials on ABC Family so that might be why.
