So?
Why are people so focused on skimming by with the bare minimum?
are you talking about.................How is 20 years of real world experience equal to the bare minimum? When it comes to education i'm talking.are you talking about.................How is 20 years of real world experience equal to the bare minimum?
That's completely irrelevant
thats not true. jack of all trades = Project Managers. meaning you dont have to actually have people underneath you. But you managed people within a project. The good ones are the equivalent of a general contractor. they know a little bit about everything. and maybe a lot about one thing. but they can speak the language of all the people involved. which makes their jack of all trades approach perfect for the job.we live in a society like ants where you have to be highly skilled in a particular area. you just cannot be a jack of all trades master of none type shyt any more, unless you are a supervisor/management. even then management don't really have to know anything these days. they can just get the talent/high skilled workers..
stop the lies as if a manager isnt a slave to the director. stop it.lol...
are you a programmer?
I know about 200 programmers. You can get money every hour or year..... and still work under managers, be told what to do, where to be ,and basically be a working slave (expect the pay is decent).
Or you can get a degree.. keep updating your skills... and have to luxury of not really being a slave.
your right... but a manager with a degree has a chance to become director...stop the lies as if a manager isnt a slave to the director. stop it.
and the director is a slave to the VP. the slavery never ends UNTIL you are the CEO. sure you're a slave to the shareholders. But the fact that these big corp ceo's can FAIL at their job. but FAIL UP. meaning you can be lousy at say Coke inc. Get a new Job at yahoo as CEO making more then you made at Coke. what part of the game is that? its that 1% part. thats what. everyone else is a slave to their boss. sure you may not have a person riding you about productivity/numbers/how many boxes you've moved today, how many burgers have you flipped, how many pieces of some item have you sold, or how many lines of code have you programmed.. But they are constantly hitting you up about "did you meet with so an so about such and such..did you meet with so and so about such and such and so and so's numbers? hey we need you to go to new york for a couple of days... hey we need you to go to Cleveland for a couple of days.. .hey we need you to go to montana for a week(so whats its your little girls birthday that weekend.) Hey we need you to go to ..... yeah thats all cute when you're young, single and dont care. but the moment you start to settle down that starts to feel like slavery too. and remember you aint going to these places to kick it most of the time. for 12 hours out of the day you're in meetings and/or at a conference then more meetings. you have another 8 oclocker in the morning so seeing the town is OUT. so that idea of "oo i get to travel" sure you earn freq. flyer miles and hotel stays, etc. but good grief when will you be able to use them? thats a slave as well. its just different.your right... but a manager with a degree has a chance to become director...
if he knows how to network well...
and college sometimes builds those soft skills.
Those soft skills are actually more important than a degree.
I'm independent, so I'm just speaking on if you want to stay with a company and not deal with the stress of being on ur own.
well, you are correct that it's even more work to own your own shyt....and the director is a slave to the VP. the slavery never ends UNTIL you are the CEO. sure you're a slave to the shareholders. But the fact that these big corp ceo's can FAIL at their job. but FAIL UP. meaning you can be lousy at say Coke inc. The only non slave gig is your own company. and then you are now a slave to your customers. at least for awhile. you will have to work 15 hour days to get your thing off the ground and keep it afloat for awhile until it can float on its on. and you can start hiring people to work for you and even manage your staff. where you can step away for a moment or two and enjoy life.
