And regarding Drake, how did he bring lyricism back? Who has entered the game since BIEH who is "lyrical"? Who stepped their shyt up cause of Drake?
HARD, not impossible.
You won't get a Lil Scrappy, Yung Joc, Soulja Boy, Dem Franchize boy etc out of nowhere dropping top 5 albums. But of course 1 or another 2 chainz who is a rapper with the strongest charisma in a long time. One of the funniest who also can spit bars when he wants to. He's got them bars, he's not just all swag and beats.

2 Chainz gathered allround respect in the game from The Wu, Lox type of dudes Jay-z, Kanye West type of dudes, Jeezy & Ross type of dudes and wack rappers as well.

I thought Drake fans didn't care what old heads had to sayWhat the **** is Drake gonna have to do to get his props???

Who has dropped 5 albums since Drake went mainstream![]()
Top 5 albums since Drake went mainstream?
J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Ye, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, Jay-z, Nas, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, T.I., Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Fabolous, MMG, Mac Miller, Macklemore, Tyga, Raekwon, Ludacris and probably a few more
Are the only ones I can think of and ALL of them put a emphasis on lyricism to a certain degree most of them a lot. As you can see none of them are Dem Franchize Boyz or D4L or Lil Jon going multi platinum type of rappers and half of them are new generation rappers.
Then we have people like Childish Gambino who sell more independently than rappers like Waka Flocka Flame with mega hits and super commercial stars featuring. We also have a lot of rappers on the come up buzzing right now without radio and shyt like that such as Schoolboy Q, Action Bronson, Joey Badass, Ab-Soul, Freddie Gibbs, Kid Ink and more that might debut top 5 with their major label debuts.
So in other words, Drake DIDN'T bring lyricism back.As I said I don't think it's Drake alone, but this whole new generation of rappers and hiphop fans. And Drake is one of the prominent leaders of the new generation so some of the props must fall on him.
I've not said that Drake brought it back don't know why you're think that I said that.So in other words, Drake DIDN'T bring lyricism back.
I've not said that Drake brought it back don't know why you're think that I said that.
I've stood firm by my opinion that Drake is the most prominent leader of the new generation. So he deserves more props than anyone from lyricism becoming relevant, but he's just one of many. If you're being extreme you could say like Premo cause that'll get you headlines.
And 2 chainz is the only one who doesn't put lyrics as his #1 priority of all the rappers I mentioned with a TOP 5 album as in BILLBOARD TOP 5 which describes what people are fukking with.
Well a lot of people give Drake props, specially a lot of rappers.I don't know how you do, but I don't give props to people who don't deserve them. Being a #1 artist doesn't mean you are a leader or responsible for everything going on. Drake sounds nothing like Jeezy who sounds nothing like Raekwon who sounds nothing like Ludacris. So how does Drake being #1 = him influencing people who have been in the game before him and still sound nothing like him?
Are there people Drake influence, sure, but he didn't bring lyricism back, nor is he some genre wide trendsetter. Its never been like that.
