Dre was like, “Nah, I’m going to do my shyt. Big, you do whatever you want to do.”

my perspective on lauryn is different than yours and probably most on here. before she was a neo-soul singing mainstream media darling she was killing nikkas lyrically on bobbito and stretch and had mad nikkas shook. and that's why i name dropped her for being disappointing

for instance in late 1995, there was a hot rumor going around in the underground that L boogie was gonna be a feature on nas new album. our first remarks? oh shyt damn yo, i wonder who gonna have the best verse nas or lauryn. lol meaning of course, we expected her to rhyme. you dig? i ain't even looking at this through the lens of that grammy award winning album she still gets gassed off of. that wasn't what i wanted from her

You sound like you have more to say. :ohhh:

hes safe because he can ride off the hype he gets from hipsters, cacs, nikkas, etc who be putting him in top 10 list, etc
Add in hes never gonna put a album and he is in no danger.

That isn't safe because he's not riding off any hype considering he was NEVER a solo artist in the first place to even be in a position where the light was on him to put out a solo album.

they actually have something, andre has no solo work, Lauryn only has 1 and hasnt had anything since 98. those people and Dre/Lauryn are not the same

Lauryn nor Andre started out as solo artists. Lauryn was in a group and went solo AFTER each member decided to do solo albums. People wanted a Lauryn solo after Blunted, which Clef addressed on The Score.

Lauryn put out Unplugged, which was a collection of songs that she was working on. It was all new material and most of those were unfinished.

I think Dre came to his senses too in France

because he eventually saw kast could not do a interview.. without a hey ya performance

Regis Leno .. letterman etc those shows got their ratings off hey ya

It was one of the awards shows where Dre performed prototype instead of hey ya

he was forced back out n he literally said for the thousandth time 1..2..3..4

he was done after that performance

idlewild came .. he let big do all the performance with Morris brown

the same ppl who was usin em for ratings fell back

hey ya literally turned into the Bozeman Wakanda Forvever pose or Urkel saying “Did I do that”.

that’s all these new casual fans wanted

Outkast came to an end at the absolute PEAK of their popularity, millions left on the table

Andre now trying to be a “serious” actor, Big Boi has zero buzz in hip hop even though he can still go.

you hate to see it

That wasn't white media. Andre 3000 got a lyricist of the year nomination from The Source in 1999. That same year Blaze had him ranked as one of the 50 best MC's ever.

When Eminem name dropped his list of Top MC's, Andre 3000 was still rapping.
But a white boy owned The Source.....

.
Bruh its not about him being a solo artist
Im saying the man literally coast off the glorified status of his where people put him in the solo top rappers with no work

That man is and always been very comfortable in his own skin. He's rich and legendary. No need to drop an album ppl gon shyt on anyway.
:dead::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:

The man is L I T E R A L L Y insecurity personified.

You think a man completely secure in himself suffers from panic attacks and changes his belief systems like the seasons?!?

Look, just cah a nicca isn't afraid to go outside with a platinum wig on doesn't mean he's confident in himself. Just means he fuccs with platimun wigs.

This is one of the worst posts in here. Panic attacks and belief systems don't share a correlation with confidence.
