I don't think it's fair to get mad at her for stating nas had ghostwriters, it just may have not been the songs she is talking about. I remember someone on SOhh was talking about this and named all the rappers who did it. People have to remember this is the music business and the money HAS TO KEEP COMING IN even when you can't rhyme the way you used to. Look at all the rappers who came out in the early years of rap who still rap the same way when times changed. Do you think Nas is immune to this?.

People forget when you smoke and drink all day, don't eat healthy, don't have no responsibilities it makes you lazy and you need help with records that the record company will be happy with. You may be able to do it for a few years but after a while you will need help unless you're a health nut and avid reader to always challenge your mind to help you spit songs. Even nas forgets his rhymes on stage so why don't you think he may need help with songs?

I love Nas' music but I'm aware that he may have not wrote a lot of his songs just based off of listening to his fresh material and the stuff afterwards. He sounds like he is just doing it because he has to. The same for other artist who been in the game for a while. Rap isn't like Other musical genres where you can make a 4-5 minute song with very little words. In rap you are using a shyt load of words and unless you have an extensive vocabulary and knowledge you will hit a wall and will need help.

I know it hurts you fellas but welcome to the world of entertainment where money is big and the dreams of the fans even bigger so you have to keep the ball rolling by any means. Record Companies would love to have an artist who loves reading so they can have an extensive vocabulary and be creative, love living life as a regular person to have something to write about, doesn't get high all day and be lazy or can only do music once in a while because it saves them money but unfortunately there are very few people in the world like that let alone Artist who want to be stars and have fame.

Don't hate on her and call her names just accept it for what it is and think maybe she is wrong in this situation but learn the lesson that needs to be learned especially if you want to be in the business.

^^ all that writing around the issue doesn't address the fact of whether it's true or not. I don't think it's actually true that untitled was mostly authored by stic & jay. or even that six songs were. And I certainly don't believe for a second there was a whole reference vocal track

if it's true it's true but her shifty behavior is not verifying it. This is the part that annoys me the most. She & many people move straight from the allegation to saying it's no big deal or don't attack her etc .. which is fine.. without deigning to prove or clarify the allegation at all

and it's a tragedy again because a lot of people are depending on her 'name' but it's not seeming dependable to me right now. she out and out said she's not a journalist just an 'insider' so she doesn't have to explain anything

You literally typed all this for nothing because it was proven to not be true.

What is the lesson to be learned here? That people shouldn't just talk to talk?

I told you the lesson already but if you want to live in a fantasy do your thing.

Like I stated it may not be true but it still goes on and there is a good chance nas is one of the people who needs help.

If you knew what really goes on in this world, you would probably try to kill yourself because of the lies you were told and believed with all your heart but that is why God gave you common sense so use it.

the thing is, we've known since 2009 that stic helped co-write sly fox. he even broke down what he did(back then). thats not the issue. the issue is her saying that he and jay e wrote a "vast majority" of untitled, and that she heard six reference tracks without even giving one example of one line he took "verbatim".

Exactly. People are on the "well we shouldn't be upset with her because it MIGHT be true" vibe when EVERYONE INVOLVED has stated the contrary and she kept at it with NO PROOF. You do not make claims such as these about a man who has spent 20 long years building his reputation as a premiere lyricist. You simply don't do that without FACT to back it up, ESPECIALLY if your some sort of Journalist. And saying "we we well a VAST majority of OTHER rappers do it!!!" to save face is bullshyt. We're NOT talking about the "vast majority" we're talking about ONE rapper, Nas, who is considered by many as the greatest lyricist of all time. It's the same type of shyt as people claiming Obama, the PRESIDENT isn't a US citizen but can't back it up with an SUBSTANTIAL proof. It's offensive, it's ridiculous, and it SHOULD be met with derision and supreme scorn from the Hip Hop community.

No you typed a bunch of nothing because all of what was said was proven to be wrong. And are you giving tips on the 'industry' when you don't seem to understand the difference between a ghost writer and a producer having a shell of a song for an artist?

LMAO @ "if you really knew what really goes on in this world" Just stop. You sound so ridiculously corny right now. You are sitting here running with this as if it wasn't proven WRONG already. The only LIE here is the one you are running with to sound like some enlightened moron. I can tell you are one of those people who just likes to hear himself talk. You are sitting here trying to break down life over a lady saying Nas has ghost writers :snoop:

Well said, what's even more laughable is the statement he makes about Nas just phoning it in with his later work. I know haters love to reach but they are going to new levels to bash the guy. Nas's last 3 solo albums have been all about pushing the envelope and the discussions in hip-hop exactly the opposite of him just doing it because he has to. Saying Nas is one of the guys who probably needs a ghostwriter just proves just how out there some people on here are.
