A lot of companies are going to lose a lot of talent because of this especially in the IT field. Unless your position requires you to physically be in the office, I see no reason to be there. My boss doesn't even live in the same state as our company. I don't even know when he was in the office last

Yeah, we have a guy in our department who pretty much blew it for everybody. Either he took another job and didn't bother to quit, or he just said fukk it. I looked it up, and he had done maybe 2 or 3 tickets in over a four month span. Somebody wanted an update on one of the tickets assigned to him... boss shot it over to me. I did it, and he had the gall to send me an email talking bout good job. I was like "No problem!" like a dumb ass.

Can you say what company or job position you have. My friend graduated with a degree in chemistry 3 years ago and he’s only been able to find shytty $20/hr lab tech jobs.

My NY job went back to the office one week out the month, starting last month. Even though they gave me permission to move out of state and wfh. Told them they have to lay me off(and give me unemployment) if I cant work from home anymore. They ended up giving me a reasonable accommodation to continue WFH until September, while we "figure things out". My answer will still be the same

On God, I don’t know one black colleague or friend who works from home, who is pushing for going back into the office. It’s exclusively a white thing. For a lot them, work is their life. They need to get out of the house because they’re so miserable at home.

We know how much the corporate world is dry and flavorless so we can’t wait to get home.

They are also powerless at home in comparison to being in the office where they can throw their weight around. Slaveowner mentality.
