They could’ve let it go on, what bull they gonna air in its place?! Sad end of an era and reminder of how old we getting, 23 years is crazy longevity on tv. Gonna miss all those guys and gals.

Oh and you know they probably reached out to Max to do this finale….so he just must have been like nah I’m good. Damn lol

Takes me back go middle school of watching UEFA Champions League or listening to 1050 ESPN Radio then Around The Horn, PTI, a lil SportsCenter, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune.

I remember Bob Ryan looked unkempt with very yellow teeth.

Stopped watching in 2006/7

Safe to assume he has a clause in his contract to prevent him from working at a competing network.
So did Keshawn, but he waived his to go fukk up yet another show (Undisputed) and soon to be another one if Joy Taylor didn't beat him to the punch already

Max is Jewish (atheist albeit), he's not lending his lending his "I'll take Iguodola anyway" talents to go work, when the bag is already there

I apologize if this sounds like a diss, but what was so special about this show? I would much rather watch outside the lines any day before around the horn.
Bringing together four different individuals who have a love and appreciation for sports that all created their own path in journalism to talk about sports without it becoming a 30 minute shouting match due to the moderation of Tony Joseph Anthony Reali. Keeping it light, keeping it interactive and allowing the panelist to speak freely, with a few interjections of the mute button of course. Giving a voice to the journalists who would sometimes pen articles or columns that day on sports event the night prior.

We lost that this week. Newspapers have shutdown. Journalism specific programs have ended. That part of the sports story has been closed out. Now we're stuck to hear from one of the few former columnists who've been branding themselves in memes for years and are more worried about viewership than giving actual knowledge because it finally paid off for them.

The only problem with that is the longer he stays out of the limelight and public eye, the less leverage he has when he wants to return to that industry and making even close to the same amount as you did before. Ask people about that one when she sat out for years while her contract ran out.

It's why a lot of those talents that got laid off years ago during that ESPN purge took jobs right away even with them still getting the remaining money of their contract paid out.

It only makes sense if you're someone like Jaws who did it and that was basically because of his age.

So they literally knew well over a year in advance they were getting rid of the show and SC was the best idea they came up with to replace it :mjlol:

They would have been better off just gutting the cast and budget at least till they had a suitable replacement on hand.

Most people are only talking about this show because of what it once was and because it's ending. Ever here on an internet forum dedicated to sports it's a safe bet that most quit watching this many years ago.

He can do what they all do and come back doing a podcast from his basement if he even needs the money which he probably doesn't.

They don’t have anything for that slot besides MOAR NFL LIVE.

Maybe they do a college football daily show in the fall. Whatever it is, it’ll contribute to what they wanna be: the hub for everything football related with some basketball too. The ESPNFL Network coming soon
