From Atlanta to San Fran to LA 4now
I hate to go all Steve Nash on you here, but IMO LeBron makes his teammates slightly better than Shaq did.

It's close, but I'm giving LeBron the edge. What series has Shaq taken over and advanced without a top 5 Wing? The best player LeBron is playing with right now is an always inconsistent J.R. Smith.

Granted it's Atlanta, but whatever.

LeBron also did this to you Ed:

shaq in the east though would avg 50 remember the teams the lakers beat we talking spurs/blazers/mavs/suns versus boston/chi/atl/wiz the east has been weak since LeBron has been it IMO but especially the last 5 years outside of boston with kg/pierce/allen nobody has had a better team than LeBron by far.

I don't know how you can put 2007 or 2014 on him when they lost to better teams. 2011 is a different story..

I guess they should just tank the ECF right now so they don't have to worrying about potentially losing to the Warriors.

I'm not putting it all on him, even though he was ass in 2007.

Right so his team would be better if he was out west (the superior conference with superior teams) and more likely to beat whoever came out the weaker East. Feel free to keep ignoring this or acting as if he'd be taking the teams he's played with in the East out west with him because you'd rather shyt on him than be logical or make sense.

I'm saying if you swapped him and Kevin Durant, these teams would probably be having the same types of success. We'd be talking about Durant making five straight trips to the Finals too because there's no one in the east who can stop him. Nobody is playing the Spurs, Grizzlies, Warriors, Clippers, Rockets, Mavs, in consecutive rounds out east.

you can't be serious. The heat squad that won titles was definitely on par with the rosters that shaq had FOR SURE.The only lebron teams that were as weak as the 94 magic were his first finals team [GOT THAT WORK from the spurs] and this year because of injury.Kyrie > any shaq teammate but kobe, EVER. and he never had two complementary pieces like wade AND BOSH.

5 straight finals is great but shaq went to 4 in a row, and won 3.

:dahell:

So your saying that Kyrie is better than PRIME WADE AND PRIME PENNY HARDAWAY????

The length nikkas will go to try to prove a point :snoop:

Alot of them wasn't his fault

94 - pacers just a better team, Shaq's first time in the playoffs - Pass
95 - rockets championship experienced nick anderson blows 4 free throws and isn't the same since. Shaq had monster series
96 - bulls goat team, horace get's hurt in game 1
98 - Jazz 2nd best team in the league lakers have cheeks head coach
99 - Spurs great team lakers held back by terrible coach
07 - Shaq old and washed
If you're going to blame Nick Anderson's free throws, you have to blame Shaq free hrows for damn near every other year. Can't have it both ways.

And? How exactly does this address this point (that you keep ignoring):

He should get a pass for being ass as a 22 year old facing a veteran team like the Spurs at that point.

The current Cavs would be the favorite over all those teams except the Warriors/Spurs and thats minus Love and a one legged Kyrie. :heh: So that's irrelevant.

He passed Shaq. Shaq is overrated and basically an underacheiver
Although i got Bron ahead of Shaq, in no way did Shaq underachieve. Dominated in one of the best era for big men in the league. Won multiple chips, Mvps, robbed of Mvps, nothing he didnt accomplish

I can hear arguements for both being above the other. For Shaq some say 'well he's big sooooo he should be good" but anyone that remembers (like I know OP does) the 90s and especially the 3peat Lake Show days of Shaq remember that he was an absolute thoroughbred and changed the way defense was played. I remember thinking the '04 Pistons had a zero percent chance of beating the Lakers and even after they did, the Pistons had to load up on 'Shaq stoppers' for the next 3 seasons.

For Bron since he has the ball in his hand more, is more skilled and can play 1-5 so he will get the nod overall from most critics. Shaq is a better winner, more dominant and will likely end up having more rings than Bron as a key player but that's just my .02
