The pull-ups mini game ruins the game for me. It is such cheap cheese shyt, I wish there was an option where I could slash them nikkas.

All of that is stupid. If they really make us grind out the same materia 3 times it’s gonna be whack. This type of thing works (sort of) for yakuza because each release is 100% it’s own story. It’s not left on cliff hangars as a part of a much larger story. Each game is in the same universe but each game could be played on its own completely and you wouldn’t be missing out.
Final fantasy 7 is one large story. Starting over each time interrupts the experience and I think will make each release feel like you have to go through a list of redundant chores before you can finally enjoy the game. I get that you can’t go into each game overpowered, but they could have capped this games materia at level 1 star or 2 for some materia and just have you start the game with rolled over items and some perks that way you don’t alienate new players. I would have been fine with all the level 1 elements throughout this entire game and with each release raise the cap 1 or 2 levels. This episodic thing just doesn’t feel like the best way...or at least the way they’ve set it up in terms of pacing. I know I’m complaining a lot about I game I love, but I really want it to succeed because so far this game has been amazing, and this story means a lot to me as a person that loved the OG. I just don’t see how they stick the landing for the next few games.

At first I thought they would just transfer it over, but seeing so many of y’all not think this, I’m guessing it might not happen.

I think the game will start fresh and you have to level up again, unless they find a way to transfer data over.

What happens in FF13? Isn’t that a 3 part game?

Im just thinking in Kingdom Hearts you don’t keep anything, what would make this different?

the game is going to be fine this is really nothing to be concerned about. Did you beat this already? It's not ending on a cliff hanger and it will most likely start over level 1 and the new game will probably have some mechanics that balance it out. This is not a abrupt cut off where it just ends out of nowhere. You'll probably have some weapons/materia carry over but w/e they do it won't really matter because it'll be a PS5 game that will probably have new gameplay mechanics.

I didn't say start over, nor did I say that all the materia would be back to zero, just that it would be temporarily unavailable at the start of the game, since at least to an extent, getting materia stolen was in the original game. Also, I doubt they're going to wipe your slate clean and just level the enemies up according to your level in the next game as well. They already are doing that in this game here, so you're never crazily overpowered compared to your enemies.

And yeah...stop whining so much about what hasn't happened yet, fool.

lol it's not bad at all.

pro tip is to start off slow and steady, watch your characters body and then get in a rhythm, you can kind of tell how fast you should be hitting the button based on your character's movement.

So my 1st guess is that stuff wont carry over, I'd think it would if there wasn't a console gap... Does PSN have cloud save backups?

If for some reason you can carry over stuff, I think yuffie is going to yank them for the majority of the next game. You'll probably start with all your stuff, lose it 10 hours in and not get it back for another 8 hours or so
:mjtf:
Of course PSN has cloud back ups. It's had it since PS3. Didn't you play this game on the playstation?!

An even easier tactic is go by sound. It still makes the lil click sound when the button prompts disappear.
