Why and how would NASA have some petrified wood on deck and hand it out to other countries, lying about what it is?

‘Moon rock’ in museum is just petrified wood

That didn't come from NASA, it came from Dutch Prime Minister Willem Drees. It was in his collection since 1969. He died in 1988 and the piece of wood was sent to the museum.

Now, could that be what NASA gave him? Yes....but it's equally possible someone stole the original and replaced it in the two decades it sat in his house. It was worth a lot of money, after all.

Which brings me to my next point....

You do realize if this was some sort of sinister conspiracy....you wouldn't be reading about it on NBC News, right?:mjlol:

Because you're speaking gibberish

Now it's "gibberish" because you don't like the explanation :russ:

Perhaps it's because you don't have the mental capacity to understand it :bpohh:

Light refraction doesnt cause an object to appear as if it's on the exact opposite side of the sky

Under the specific circumstances of a selenhelion eclipse, yeah, it definitely can :russ:

You're just mad you can't explain why it can't :bpumad:

Besides, it's only observable if you're in the exact right location on Earth and only for a few minutes to an hour; that doesn't prove flat earth theory to be true :russ:

And if you watched that selenhelion video I posted in here you would know that you're posting nonsense

That video does not disprove either heliocentrism or a spherical Earth...try again :bpumad:

Feel free to post another example of light refraction causing an object in the sky to appear almost 180 degrees from its actual position

I'll wait

Also @the bold, yes it does. Ask me how:mjgrin:

Also, why do you keep ducking that one question about heliocentric theory that I've asked you across multiple threads now?

That's not what a lunar eclipse is. :russ:

You're thinking of a solar eclipse.

Solar = Sun > Moon > Earth, casts shadow on earth

Lunar = Sun > Earth > Moon, casts shadow on moon

So yeah, the sun and moon being 180 degrees from each other is actually correct, because we're talking about a lunar eclipse. :mjlol:

Minor in physics at Georgia Tech but be unable to distinguish between solar and lunar eclipses, brehs :deadmanny:

What are you talking about???

You just said that light refraction explains selenhelion eclipses

I'm asking you to post an example of light refraction causing an object to move from its actual position in the sky

And again, why have you been ducking my other question?

Correct, they do

You don't seem to understand what a selenhelion eclipse is.

Light refraction explains why we can see both the sun and moon above the horizon when they're supposed to be in perfect linear alignment during a selenhelion eclipse. :mjlol:

Again, a lunar eclipse is Sun > Earth > Moon, where the Earth casts a shadow on the Moon.

I'm asking you to post an example of light refraction causing an object to move from its actual position in the sky

You don't seem to understand that the video you posted is, in itself, an example of what I'm talking about. :russ:

Again, a lunar eclipse is Sun > Earth > Moon, where the Earth casts a shadow on the Moon.

If you're arguing that the Moon appears to be 180 degrees across from each other during a lunar eclipse...THAT'S EXACTLY CORRECT. :russ:

ONCE AGAIN, as you can CLEARLY SEE in the video I posted, the sun is BELOW THE HORIZON, meaning that the earth should be BLOCKING the majority of the suns light from reaching the moon, according to heliocentric theory

ONCE AGAIN, as you can CLEARLY SEE in the video I posted, the BOTTOM of the moon should be shaded, and the TOP of the moon illuminated by the small amount of sun not being blocked by the earth, according to heliocentric theory

ONCE AGAIN, as you can CLEARLY SEE in the video I posted, it's actually the TOP of the moon that shaded and the BOTTOM of the moon that is illuminated, which makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE in the heliocentric model, because the earth is supposedly blocking the bottom part of the moon from sunlight

Now that I've destroyed ANOTHER argument of yours, why do you keep ducking my question?

I literally just took a picture of a moon, that was directly over head with the bottom shaded, while the sun was rising in the east on a sunny day..

What does this have to do with the video I posted?

Again, you two are arguing how the moon looks when the earths horizon is blocking the sun reflection off the moon.. Right?

I said, I just seen the bottom part of the moon shaded, when the sun was way above the horizon..

You figure out what that has to do with the video you posted.
