For those of you who've seen NBA players play in HS, how good are they?

PLAYED WIT JORDAN FARMAR FOR TAFT .. HE WAS GOOD, BUT THE DISCIPLINE IS WHAT SEPERATED HIM TBH

Alot of these dudes in here lying man.

Like I said I seen plenty of dudes play in HS who made it to the league and yes they were good but they didn't stand out like that. Like you said discipline just having things go their way and staying consistent

I think most of the names being mentioned in here are moreso the freakishly athletic, or the more gifted skill-players.

I only read about half the thread tho.

It looks like they're playing a completely different sport

I saw Lebron vs my HS the year before I went there. We were either in the midst or just coming off a state 3 peat, with the NC POY in Reyshawn Terry (Small Forward, Tar Heels / Mavs). And he had absolutely fukking NOTHING for Lebron. It was honestly frightening how vast the gulf was :picard:

Chris Paul in HS? Forget about it. He did whatever he wanted to, whenever, to whomever, and as often as he wanted to. Saw him often since he went to school across town.

My peoples played against Chris Paul in HS. Said dude knew every play they wanted to run and was impossible to dribble against. Said after the first quarter he knew dude was going to the league.

Tyler Ulis, Jalen Brunson, Talen Horton-Tucker, Zack Norvell, Jahlil Okafor, Jabari Parker

Seen all them play in person. Jabari was ridiculous, all the others were way above average but not mind blowing
Where did you go to highschool?

Can’t remember the dudes name but I played against someone that went on to play at Oregon State, and he just killed us. Like not even needing to get into his bag. Just beating everyone up the court and blowing by anyone in front of him. Had 50 easy.

Then played against Harrison Barnes in a tournament the next year, and he was clearly the best player on the court but he wasn’t completely dominant like the Oregon State breh

Raymond Felton looked like Superman is high school. He was a SHOW

Ramon Sessions I was surprised made the league. One thing I’ll give him playing against him in high school is that he had elite poise and pace of the game. You couldn’t speed him up or get him to do anything he didn’t want to do on the court.

Jeff Green played against Folarin Campbell (George Mason’s 2006 Final Four leading scorer) in one of the best MD state championship games. Green had corn rows back then lol.

They had a great battle where Campbell’s team came back from like 20 points down, only to lose as Jeff Green closed it.
