Dude aaid jeff hardy lol. Ecw was built around sabu. Put jeff hardy in the same spot and ecw/hardy dont amount to shyt.

Sabu has no good matches. Lol. Yall opinions are trash as fukk

these dudes werent watching wrestling back then. Theyve only seen WWE highlight packages and youtube. They formulate their opinions from that shyt like its the gospel.

Certain things you would have had to been there to see and experience to truly get the impact and adoration for it.

It's like saying rappers in the 80's were wack or some shyt.

That last line seals it...they talk shyt about krs when fukking kurtis blow raps circles around a lot of these clowns. But yeah I'm glad I watched a lot of the tapes from back then bc now I forget how spoiled we really were. Ecw was more than bloodshed and mayhem; it was also technical wrestlers as well as some of the best promos ever. We never would have Eddy if it weren't for Ecw...and the Jeff Hardy Sabu argument is foolish. Hardy was merely a spotfest while Sabu was an innovator.

What your basically saying is Abdulluh The Butcher isnt a legend because all he did was hit people with forks. This is the ultimate Smark logic that really turns me off to fans today. Not every great wrestler is doing a bunch of fake loopity loop wrestling holds. There are different styles and paths to legendary status. All the things you take for granted or say Jeff "took" which he didnt. Are things Sabu innovated. How can the innovator of a whole STYLE of wrestling be anything but a fukking legend.

Ofcourse he botches, thats part of his whole act. Who gives a fukk about a botch. It's Sabu... I can always tell who watched mostly WWE, and who didnt watch alot of wrestling back in the day when they try to comment on certain wrestlers that if you were around then you would have in high regard.

Abdullah The Butcher was a legitimate wrestling legend, Sabu was only an ECW legend and face of ECW. There's easily 5 guys you could put in front of Sabu....Taz, RVD, Dreamer (who I wasn't a fan of and still not just cause he's done more crying than anything), Raven, and Shane Douglas. Sabu was nothing but the precursor to flippy floppy non-story telling dudes that people hate today, but even less skilled. "That's part of his act" lol, you sound like those dudes claiming Eva Marie's gimmick is being uncoordinated and awful in the ring, when that's just 100% her. Sounds like an excuse for being s hit wrestler to me. Grew up watching more WCW early on then WWE btw...

And just because somebody came before them doesn't automatically make them better. They simply were the first to come, and nothing more.

Abby is a legendary piece of shyt, for sure. He's a legend in the same way that the Honky Tonk Man or any random WWE guy from 1988 could be considered a legend.

He was a piece of shyt who purposely tried to injure opponents, wouldn't do business with them, fukked over nearly every promoter he ever worked for, and lied about having god damn hepatitis for years when his entire gimmick was centered around bleeding everywhere.

Sabu had a great match with 2 Cold Scorpio at CyberSlam '96. You can find it on the Rise & Fall of ECW DVD. He and RVD had a pretty good series of matches throughout '96, too. Two of them are on RVD's DVD from '04, and the stretcher match is on the ECW Most Violent Matches DVD

Still a legend and one of the few legitimate wrestling DRAWS. None of that has anything to do with that fact. You cant name more than 5 wrestlers who have drawn like him everywhere around the world. Calling him a legend like any guy from wwf 89 just tells me you dont know the history of abdullqh. Dude is the sheik, terry funk, hogan status as a draw for decades

Shane douglas?LOL. Dreamer? He is the pity face of ecw cause he styed. Raven was over but only had a platform cause of sabu and taz helped get over cause of sabu. Youre iverexqggerating that sabu was a botch machine. His style is laujching his body as a weqpon. It literally IS part of his shyt to miss here and there. I just watched him va cactus, him for 2 cold and the match above and he doesnt botch anything more than land awekqardly which is PART OF HIS GIMMICK "suicidal homicidal genicdal"

Thanks for the recommendations. :salute:

On a side note, Scorpio is an underrated worker.

Yes he was. Hea been all over the country in every territory. He never needed to stay anywhere because he always could go somewhere else. He was huge in detroit and down south as well as canada and japan. All those guys you listed have wrestled him and prolly sold that show out cause of him.
Abby been wrestling since the 50s. Of course theres bugger names but your talking 50 years of consistant drawing. Dude was in wcw in the 90s, 40 years after he started.

I aint that off. Look at the namws u have to bring up to compare

How many guys made a living and NEVER worked for vince. Dude had options

NO ONE was drawing in early 1990s WCW. GTFO. Abby was in a mid card tag team in WCW. He wasn't drawing shyt in that role. And no one else was drawing shyt in any other role. I can't believe you really think BRUISER BRODY wasn't as big of a draw as Abby. Or multiple touring NWA/AWA Champions who were champ specifically because they could draw crowds. Baba and Inoki always drew when they left Japan. Inoki especially, since he was so well known after the Ali fight.

Begining of the end was the mass transit situation. On the Forever Hardcore documentary thats what pushed them from getting a ppv deal by a year.
