No need to go back to Sanchez. He's not a solution while in Geno, you're hoping to find one and move on from if he isn't.

So you think Rex will let Geno go the whole way? What if y'all go 4-12, Rex will for sure get fired, right?

If he switches to Sanchez at some point(if Geno struggles) and y'all go 7-9, 8-8...at least Rex gives himself a chance of keeping his job?

Sanchez has lost the right to revive the Jets. I don't think Rex is going anyway.

If Geno's confidence get broken and he falls apart then Geno maybe gets us Clowney... and I'm happy. If Geno wins us some games and learns on the job, developing while showing potential even though our time is still bottom 5-8...I'll take that no problem. I think starting Geno is a win-win because of that, though it would have been cool if he developed with no stress while Sanchez did just enough to convince some dumb gm to take a chance on him in a trade for a late round pick...but I really don't picture that scenario manifesting itself in any circumstance.
so basically, taking an age-old approach of teaching your kids how to swim...throw them into water and see if they float :ld:

except in this case if they sink they sink :manny:

does clowney play offense? dude is wayyyy overated if we go that low take bridgewater

Small sample size...Kid looked good...I'll wait till he does it for a full season, Geno was a MONSTER for half a season and now we're already talking about drafting a QB with our very next top pick in a draft? Take Clowney and create a nightmare pass rush for the next half decade...then use the rest of the day one picks on skill positions.

If they sink, you're guaranteed a much more talented kid the next time you visit the lake.

Too bad Sanchez got injured. It would've benefited Geno to hold a clipboard for the year. Afc east is horrible. I could see the jets overachieving.

His footwork is so off...idk...but there really isnt much of a choice I guess.
I honestly like Simms...

I can't help but feel a competent organization could develop him into a legitimate starting QB...The kid is extremely raw but he has a quick release, and a strong accurate arm...There have been plenty of times I thought he was getting sacked and the ball came out like a line drive off a prime Barry Bonds swing...All Ive seen him do all pre-season is throw lasers granted some of them at the wrong jersey but that's expected from a rookie...It's also worth noting he's played more with that awful bum secondary Oline which gave him no protection yet son has made less mistakes than both Geno and Fez...The one time Fez played with that Oline they put his ass on IR...lol

:lupe:

A caveat: The age-old approach really works. I was reading an article today about the youngest boy to fly an airplane. He's Chinese and only 5 years old, yet he's operating a very complicated piece of flying equipment. His father made a comment in the article saying that people baby their children too much and that the key to success is to prepare your kids for the fall and then push them over the cliff.

Continuing on the same trend, I also read a study awhile ago and put the results to the test. The research said the best way to study for exams is to take practice tests, and so I started taking them and now study more efficiently more my classes. When it comes to perfecting something, the key is to do it, recognize your mistakes and correct them the next time around. Rinse and repeat. The hardest part is recognizing and correcting your mistakes.

The problem with Geno taking this approach is the following:

1. He might not get enough games.

2. He might have too many mistakes to correct.

2. His mistakes might not be correctable.

3. Even if they are, he might not have enough time to correct them.
