Wasn't this in the top 20 a week ago, if I'm not mistaken?

It was on itunes/apple music but that didn’t translate to actual Billboard 200 charting.

He DID chart on the Independent Albums chart at 37.

Its always been weird and confusing how streaming is weighted vs physical sales. Artists like Ghost/Raekwon/Nas/etc generally always do really well with physical sales but because a lot of the times their Vinyl/CD sales don’t count towards the first week because they don’t SHIP until weeks/months later they have weaker showings on Billboard because their “Pure”
Sales (iTunes purchases, Amazon Music purchases) aren’t up to snuff.

Thats part of the reason why Clipse over performed expectations on their first week sales, all their physicals shipped THAT week so it counted for them.

After a number of thorough listens (at home, at the gym, driving around), it's a great album. Production feels on-point, Ghostface sounds better than he has on his last few projects, and the album flows/is sequenced well. With these things said, and as much as I am enjoying it........it is not a sequel to the original Supreme Clientele. It sounds too polished, its missing the Tony Stark/Iron Man skits that gave it "that feeling", and IMO should have featured more Clan members (GZA, Inspectah Deck, Cappadonna, etc).

Had the album been given a different title, it would stand tall on its own.....but because it's titled Supreme Clientele it feels as though it falls just short.

Either way......this album, Rae, Clipse, Westside Gunn, Gibbs/Alchemist, Xzibit.....it's been a great summer for Hip-Hop.

On another note since this is a Ghostface thread.......anyone got Hidden Darts Special Edition? I've spent parts of the last few weeks looking for it online.

Rae's album was good, this was even better. I mean its my personal opinion and I am not a Wu stan, but this is a GREAT album

I’m good on Hitler Ye going anywhere NEAR any artist I like/respect. nikkas said the same shyt for years and years that a Kanye produced Nas album would be the next Thriller and look how THAT turned out.

It seems that people like you don’t understand the importance of an artist and producer being on the same page mentally/creatively in order to make a good project alone a great one. Kanye has wrought nothing but chaos and diminishing returns to every musical project he’s touched since 2018, save for Pusha T’s Its Almost Dry, and thats one of the few times when it was reported he was actually taking medication for whatever mental illness of the moment he suffers from. You think Ghostface Killah would be inspired and in the mood to write some classic fly shyt listening to Kanye ramble about the Holocaust being fake and sucking his cousin’s dikk?!?! You think Ghost would proudly present an album to the world executive produced by a black man wearing a Klan hoodie?!?! Absolutely not.

I like the album just fine the way it is. If you don’t then sorry for you. But there’s ZERO chance that present day Kanye West’s involvement would have resulted in anything more than a circus of bullshyt.
