shoulda called it the pretty tony pt 2....this shyt everywhere as far as a sonic landscape goes. Some songs i fukk wit some i dont. Some Ghost voice sounds great others sound like he was going through some sinus issues. I fukk wit like 6 tracks tuff the rest are mid. The main issue once again is PRODUCTION. How is Westside Gunn able to aquire a production sound that sounds like a classic updated wu with a looooooong list of producers yet ghost cant reach out. Hes fine staying in house and im not talking wu in house (tru master, 4th, bronze etc) but these mid underground white producers. I dont get it. I just witnessed conductor williams LACE a rome streetz......Theres really no excuse for it. Especially when u let it out ya mouth alchemist been begging to work with you. Im not ready to rate this album yet tho these are just my initial thoughts and frustrations.
They needed RZA after all. Even Raw had to get RZA eventually and his "guitar beats" to top up and round off Cuban Link 2 after it had gone thru 50 cooks. They had Dilla and Dre beats sitting right next to RZA beats comfortably and the vision was maintained and the quality upheld.

Yeah this just doesn’t feel like an album.

I’m on my 3rd listen and it’s all over the place.

I’m in the Mixtape / Lost Tapes camp on this one, like others have said.

Travesty calling this Supreme Clientele 2.
Rae's album was better but even it's not amazing to me. At this point with Mobb and Nas being the only ones left it's up to Alchemist, Hav and Preem to save the legend has it series.

I have not heard one album from Slick Rick to this that's a banger.

I haven't smoked in a while, today is Friday I got a new bag and I will give this a spin but only problem is I am not on any streaming sites and YouTube is bugging every other day. Next time it works for me, I am playing this sh1t from start to finish.

Rae's new joint is a personal classic.

I still want to hear the big L, Mobb Deep and de la albums soon.

this feels like a fanmade mixtape for datpiff, its a travesty that this got named supreme clientele

I waited years for this bullshyt ass AI generated "wu-tang type beats" cashgrab

grabbed 3 songs for my playlist and off to the bushes with the rest

Respectfully this is mad underwhelming but when you think about it wtf did we really expect. Supreme clientele came out 25 fukking years ago. I’m kind of laughing at myself for getting excited. I don’t think I heard anything on here besides maybe rap kingpin or metaphysics that I’d ever come back to.

It's funny reading these comments.

Gfk is my fav wu. I have him in my top 5 DOA

His verses don't hit the same like they used to.

Both the pen, the frantic delivery and the clever English usage.

People hate on 3 stacks for avoiding this very scenario but it is what it is

His legacy to me is solidified. Everything has a start and an end along with peaks

If he named this anything other than SC 2 I think this would've been considered a nice return to form. A solid good album from a legend. But you slap the Supreme Clientele label on it and you're adjusting expectations. Personally, never thought this album had a chance of being even 50% as good as the OG. You can't be making bad music for over a decade and just flip a switch and get back to making heat again. That ship done sailed. So my expectations were low and honestly I think it's solid.

It's just a little too thrown together. The older songs stick out and most of them feel unfinished but despite that they still feel a level above the other shyt. Even the use of classic breaks and shyt, which is in the spirit of the original album, feels more on the nose and forced this time. Bro literally has a song called Break Beats....c'mon Starks :comeon:

Is that Nas feature produced by Hitboy? It's got his bland stink all over it :hhh:

All in all though it's..........fine. Not even Big Doe Rehab level but better than them weedplates he's been throwing out in auto-pilot for the last decade.
Damn hurts my heart to hear GFK described this way.
Accurately too I might add.

Whats funny is that Raes style has aged the best
