Just finished my second listen
This album is more akin to a Fishscale Part 3 or Pretty Tony Part 2 than a Supreme Clientele sequel. This is a heavy storytelling type of album not the kinetic, nonsensical-yet-dope, stream of conscious type of work that Supreme Clientele OG was.
Its still Ghost’s best work since Big Doe Rehab, I have no issues with the production whatsoever, the most jarring thing is Ghost’s voice from track to track. Its a blessing that artists like Method Man and Nas still sound fresh and their voices extremely similar to when they debuted.
Even with his voice not being the same, Ghost is still a top tier level storyteller, which is why he’s in my top 5. I’ll be bumping this along with Rae’s album, Clipse and Alfredo 2. I’m glad I got the Vinyl and supported financially. None of the Legend Has It series so far has been a waste of my money.
I’ll also say the skits on here are mucccch better than the ones on Rae’s album. Pause had me laughing my ass off.
