Just finished my second listen

This album is more akin to a Fishscale Part 3 or Pretty Tony Part 2 than a Supreme Clientele sequel. This is a heavy storytelling type of album not the kinetic, nonsensical-yet-dope, stream of conscious type of work that Supreme Clientele OG was.

Its still Ghost’s best work since Big Doe Rehab, I have no issues with the production whatsoever, the most jarring thing is Ghost’s voice from track to track. Its a blessing that artists like Method Man and Nas still sound fresh and their voices extremely similar to when they debuted.

Even with his voice not being the same, Ghost is still a top tier level storyteller, which is why he’s in my top 5. I’ll be bumping this along with Rae’s album, Clipse and Alfredo 2. I’m glad I got the Vinyl and supported financially. None of the Legend Has It series so far has been a waste of my money.

I’ll also say the skits on here are mucccch better than the ones on Rae’s album. Pause had me laughing my ass off.

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
He spent time on different podcasts emphasis how much time he spent sequencing the album.

If he reads your post he‘s gonna be heartbroken.
I'm disappointed that he ripped me off with that killah coffee.

At least he could've dropped something similar to Sour Soul. I'll tell that nıgga tough luck.

They needed RZA after all. Even Raw had to get RZA eventually and his "guitar beats" to top up and round off Cuban Link 2 after it had gone thru 50 cooks. They had Dilla and Dre beats sitting right next to RZA beats comfortably and the vision was maintained and the quality upheld.
I haven’t listened yet but one of my boys said it was good. IMO naming the album Supreme Clientle 2 was a marketing ploy to get people interested. It didn’t mean it was going to sound like the first one. And I knew than because unless they had some RZA beats along with some of the best production from the current era this had no chance of meeting those expectations.

The RZA may not have done every beat but it’s clear their best work was with him EP’n.

I haven’t been following but at one point I heard Kanye was attached to this and west side Gunn. I don’t know if they are still around but between the two of them they should have been able to get him similar sounding beats.

But yea at the end of the day he’s 50 and it has to be hard to stay motivated to put out a. Whole album that would meet our standards don’t is what it is.

I haven't smoked in a while, today is Friday I got a new bag and I will give this a spin but only problem is I am not on any streaming sites and YouTube is bugging every other day. Next time it works for me, I am playing this sh1t from start to finish.

Rae's new joint is a personal classic.
Dudes can't even stream some shyt to support but you also making music. How will your music be accessed and shared to others? I don't like old heads like you. These albums return peanuts they are being done for the strength and love at this point. Least you can do is let the artist see some stats to keep them getting more opportunities

😂 What's your beef with it?
It's complete bullshyt. There no cohesiveness because it's not actually an album or a focused project. It's just a collection of songs he was doing while dropping mid for years. On top of that, too much of what I'm hearing is far too derivative of other shyt. Man dropped a Coke Zero version of his Impossible verse and didn't even have anything surrounding it.

There's too much dope shyt out for me to waste time on bullshyt albums. Hate to say it, but Ghost is finished. Been finished really.

At least the Rae album was an honest effort, even if it didn't move the needle for his discography.
