Problem is it's not an album.
Albums are a focused body of work. This is a bunch of songs recorded over the course of multiple years thrown together. If this was a mixtape or a lost tapes I could let some things slide. You want to name this after a classic then that's the standard I'm going to hold it to. Nothing on this matches up to the songs on SC.
Nah this is not it, a very very disappointing album. Should not have called this Supreme Clientele 2, it has no ties to it other than name!

Went back and listened to Apollo Kids cuz it's been a while and it might be better than this

Linx 2 was great. Underrated.
Yeah Cuban Linx 2 was fire.... I can still go back and listen to this day and it sounds great, definitely one of the best sequels to a classic.
Sorry to hear so many aren't enjoying this--to me it feels like a real GFK album, unlike everything else he's put out in 15+ years

Damn, definitely not what I wanted to hear..... Seems to be general consensus in here this is average to underwhelming.

This is super accurate. This is more like a playlist or a mixtape. Which is fine. But it’s obvious he didn’t go in and create an album in a reasonable time frame with focus.
We were just talking about Evidence. He said his least favorite album is Weather or Not because it was made over such a long time period that it feels more like songs that were made over 5 years thrown together as best he could.
There’s something to be said about time periods. Most of the world’s best albums weren’t made over a long time period. You feel inspired and create it in a reasonable time frame

Was going to say yesterday, would be great to get another Ghost album with BBNG or Adrian Younge.
I know they aren't amazing lyrical clinics, but they're excellent start to finish album experiences. The first 12 Reasons is probably the most Wu solo album to drop after NSD. Maybe Ghost needs somebody else to provide the structure these days?
