But.. How long was Pete's run on HIS production style in that 90s era? Who was banging on Pete door for heat? Nobody
He can't talk. Point blank. Soundscape had shifted drastically. Nas would have been left behind if it wasn't for Trackmasters

Assuming 1 min long ish tracks are skits, And anything under a min obviously is.
Not debating where he stands. The sound changed. Rap content shifted as well.Pete is easily a Top 5 producer though, bro.
He can definitely talk his sh*t, lol. He's in there with dudes like RZA and Premier.
Listen.. Trackmasters had heat.
Those IWW album cuts were pure heat..and the unreleased shyt Nas made with them. Like Stoute said, he would have faded out like Kool G Rap without them

Ghost has some really dope 1 minute tracks actually

Just had this joint on a couple days ago!

While some of the tracks may appear short, it seems this could mean Ghost coming with that one-take ‘stream of thought’ energy you would expect from a sequel to Supreme Clientele.

In prnciple I don't disagree but I will say that almost every JB beat I've heard in the past half decade or more has been a letdown.Actually, if Just Blaze is on SC2 or helped out with it, we could be in for something good.
JB def has that soulful vibe Ghost likes.
Look at how Ghost flowed over the "Girls Girls Girls" beat a few years back and how he always says he wishes he got that beat instead of Jay
One of my favorite Dilla beats.

His style sounds really dated IMO.
But he's one of the best to do it
