Not because there's anything intrinsically better about iMessage but things just work more fluidly within it.

Saying iMessage is just overall better than SMS doesn’t mean you’re an Apple fanboy. It’s when folks think that’s the only solution when we have a problem.

Just Functionality. Options to add or remove people, easier to share media and other stuff. Not a huge deal but definitely noticeable.
