I got through as much of "Caste" that I wanted to to get through. I'd be interested to read this book as well. I wanna make sure I don't misunderstand what they're trying to present here. Hope its on spotify.
Edit: Ok, i'll still read/listen to this, but its still about how black families still get discrimanted against when it comes to resources, which winds up having the same affect. I'd still think that given the same economic opportunties, a 2 parent household is still better off than a single parent household.

After reading the article, and seeing the connections the author made between the Monahan report and her own research, it seems like she's arguing that

@Wiseborn eloquently and correctly mention in a recent post that the black population is shrinking. Not due to death, but by people having fewer children. Rather than letting this go the Argentina way of diluting a population into nothingness, Why don't we Be strategic about the population shrinking? I propose that we can defeat racial inequity, (completely independently of white welfare) by concentrating resources. I argue The black people dropping to a small but powerful percentage of America Will fare far better than our current situation of having a large and uncompetitive population.
If I were to use a geopolitical analogy, it would be like turning the black population within America into a Switzerland or Norway instead of it being a big, useless India.

more welfare, to fix The resource Gap by subsidizing child care, education, and social services for black people. Obviously this is a non-starter for white people in the greater society. Especially while maga sentiments are common.

One solution that doesn't rely on the Goodwill of white people increasing welfare funding. I know this may sound llikea crazy idea but, what If we had less children as population, but we had more adults pouring resources into the children we have? I saw a very linear relationship in her article, that showed two black adults being the equivalent of one white adult . What if we culturally shifted our child-rearing practices, to have more than two adults raising one child? I know it seems out there; but hear me out....

If the racial inequity of a Americafollows the linear path that Cross has shown in her paper, then such a child should be the equivalent of a white child. And I admit this last point to speculation, but if you follow the same linear logic then if you were to add a second dink, Then the child being raised by six black people should easily surpass The Resource-Based outcome of the white child.
