I think part of the problem with this convo is people are stuck in some past year when rap wasn't the defacto dominant genre, so all the stereotypes are old. It's not just hood nikkas, white frat boys, white girls, and ratchet black chicks who all listen to different shyt. All those groups have diverse subsets, there are entirely new groups as well...and there's a lot of overlap with listening habits in the streaming era where there is no barrier between the consumer and anything.

All black people aren't hood nikkas or ratchet chicks. All white boys aren't frat boy types. There's a segment of white chicks who been on Kevin Gates before most black people. There are hood nikkas who almost entirely just listen to their local shyt. There's an oddly large group of young black chicks who really fukk with Cole and Kendrick. And there's a huge group of alternative black rap fans who listen to all type of shyt including Tyler...and Baby...and Carti. Point being people been putting folks in boxes and overlooked that we're in a massive rain forest with all types of diversity because of how big rap is today.
