That would be an improvement over the criticisms of MGS4, huh? :patrice:

Yeah, and i thoguht MGS4 for its time was pretty innovative as well. It was the first game i can remember being able to go prone in, have active surface level camouflag, multiple systems for cooling stress levels, sound dettection for enemies, etc.

same with mgs3, very mechanically dense game as most will probably find out in august.

According to you? :mjlol:

If a game allows for different options to achieve a goal and varied gameplay, it has depth. Everyone who has played GOWR would not have experienced the game this way and customized it to get to this level of power.

If two people can play a game differently with some getting to a sort of mastery level that took a lot of time, then that means it has depth.

And this is what yall problem is.

You want these games to be everything for everybody.

GOW will never have the depth of something like Dark Souls or DMC and that’s ok. The fans aren’t looking for that in a GOW game. :manny:

I would say movie games put extra attention on the storytelling elements but don’t necessarily break the mold gameplay wise.

Which makes sense cuz there’s only so much budget to go around.

Exception to that is Kojima, and maybe Square Soft with FF.

So here you understand a game can have lots of cutscenes and still not be a “movie game” due to depth in its mechanics.

Why are you doing this today?? :mjlol:

I was about to say whatever Hideo Kojima gets his hands on, :manny:

But any movie release followed by the aforementioned videogame counts.
I feel like this is only true for some of his games. Snake Eater has a lot of game play and just fun stuff to do.
