In MP you can customize them.
So if there is a clear difference in mechanics between the single player side and the multiplayer side.

Why don’t pretend you don’t know what a movie game is?

Uncharted single and multiplayer sides prove the combat should/would be deeper if they weren’t trying to make a movie.

The only "movie games" I categorize as such are the titles like The Quarry, Until Dawn, or any of the TellTale games from the last 15 years, ect. Anyone calling Spider-Man or TLOU2 "movie games" are absolute idiots. High production value and an emphasis on story beats doesn't make a game an interactive movie.

In creating UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves we strived to create an interactive summer blockbuster

ND is disingenuous then :manny:

post like this that you @PS5 Pro and @The Mad Titan do is the online equivalent to trying to yell over someone to win an argument. You think you can just drown out the page with non-formatted or punctuated sentences so people just skip over it and give up even trying to have a real conversation.
Translation: Me Grimlock can't read too good
Now you’re deliberately rambling on and not structuring your post because you want to win through people simply giving up on reading it All. It’s the same thing court does
That is an interesting take :pachaha: so, when did you all have a meeting on this subject for you to say such things about ol meech?
Yall got a treehouse? You give off snickerdoodle vibes, what kind of snacks y'all got up there?
Cinematic experience = non-interactive/movie game :skip:
So you wouldn't call Uncharted a Movie game?

I guarantee anyone calling God of War 2018/Ragnarok movie games rushed through their playthroughs and didn’t even bother with the Valkyries/Berserkers (If they even played it themselves to begin with). I wanna see Sigrun/Berserker King/Gna trophy receipts

This is dumb man, you can't customize guns in Halo MP either so by this logic that game is a movie game since you can't adjust the mechanics of the guns at all. At this point, you're just arguing for arguments sake just to continue with this dumb "This is a movie game but this other game isn't even though they have the same things."

Clair Obscur having QTE's and set pieces in the battles that look very cinematic doesn't mean it's a movie but then a game like God of War having a QTE and set pieces during some battles makes it a movie. Ridiculous. You really clocked yourself in this thread.

Single player game wants to be a “cinematic” experince so the guns are simple.

Same game wants to attract an ongoing online crowd.

You need depth of mechanics for that so the guns are now customizable and offer lots of different perks and powers, etc.

Two different design philosophies on display.

And you still wanna play dumb about it

A set piece is the train section in uncharted.

Claire obscure has NOTHING like that. It has cutscenes like all games do.

Dodge/block/pary is not a qte.

This is QTE. Where you are watching a cinematic and they ask for a button prompt.

Clair obscure has NOTHING like that.

You know all this, but you’d rather play dumb instead of just saying you enjoy interactive movie games :manny:

Games that are created with a Hollywood-esque narrative. Yes, Expedition 33, TLOU, Uncharted, and the Nordic God of War series are examples of a movie game. Even Gears of War can be put in that category.

You ignored my last point, Halo games don't have customizable weapons in the campaign mode, is that a movie game?
Yet, even in the MP you can't customize the guns. The guns are "simple" as you call it. Hell, Call of Duty is a movie game because the same thing applies there, guns are not customizable in campaign but in MP they are.

What SP game plays exactly like the MP game with no difference? MP games cannot play exactly the way a single player story does with multiple people playing.

A set piece is the train section in uncharted.

Claire obscure has NOTHING like that. It has cutscenes like all games do.
Clair Obscure has NOTHING like set pieces?
The core gameplay loop of a turn-based game can be alluring. It’s the promise that simply paying close attention and understanding what’s on the table in front of you is enough to win the encounter and advance the quest. Even against tougher sub-bosses and intimidatingly long set pieces, where it’s obvious there will be no leveling up and out of a white-knuckle fight, you can trust that full knowledge of your tools matters more than the enemy's strength. It's an intellectual challenge, and lends replay value even to games with a rigid linear narrative.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's often brutal set pieces. They aren't the only scenes that made me smile, the entire cast has moments of light

Another thing that Expedition 33 does right is a rather fantastic run of battles, cinematic set-pieces and exploration towards the end. The final villain, too, is someone I was hoping to fight – no random evil big bad here, like we have suffered in one or ten RPGs past.

So these cacs are lying? They played set pieces but you say it doesn't have it? Maybe you are playing Clair Obscur Expedition 50.

What's that option there? Automatic QTE?
I guess the game itself doesn't know what a QTE is. :mjlol:

You know all this, but you’d rather play dumb instead of just saying you enjoy interactive movie games :manny:
Yeah, you are COOOKED :wow:

I think you need to finish the game
Bro this nikka said the game has no QTE's yet the game settings literally has an option to let you do QTEs automatically . Maybe that's why he loves this cinematic game so much because he played the earlier expeditions nobody else played yet.:laff:
