Honestly, what impact has Beyonce had on R&B or Hip Hop?

Let's say Beyonce died today, yea everyone would pretend to be a fan and say she's a legendary artist and a once and a lifetime talent but what would they be saying 30 years later after the dust has settled?

Beyonce has been making music for over 12 years and she doesn't have one classic album and has had very little impact on her genre, especially when you compare her to people like R. Kelly and usher. Sure she's extremely popular, but what has she done that gives her legendary status?

And before you Beyonce fans rush in her moving your necks, clapping your hands, and snapping your fingers talking crazy i do NOT hate Beyonce, I was on the dance team throughout highschool and I used to dance to her music, so dont come up in here talkin bout im hatin on queen bee

And I know you feminine militants are also going to rush into my thread hatin and talking shyt because Beyonce has thrown yall a crumb recently.

edit: and no, an album isn't a classic because you liked it, an album is not a classic because it's gotten 8/10s across the board, a classic is a 9/10 album that will stand the test of time, an album that people will be listening to 30 years from now. Beyonce doesnt have a classic album yet, year there is a big uproar whenever she releases an album but everyone moves on from it after a month or two:yeshrug:

She's definitely resurrected the diva/icon image. She also has an undeniably powerful voice and has been reigning easily for the past decade.

Musically/sonically she is finally pushing herself, so I def applaud her for that.

It's great dance music, a lot of women feel they can relate to what she sings.

Nothing has blown me away but I haven't listened to Lemonade yet so I'll update when I do.

Eh, I personally like Beyonce but I agree with OP. To me she's just a bridge between Whitney and whoever takes the crown in a few more years. She was molded in the Michael Jackson/James Brown mold with the singing and dancing.

But as of right now, she is the baddest bytch doing it compared to other R&B singers as of now.
