I don't know, I don't get it. Other than being attractive, I never understood the allure. Musically, she's never impressed me. Of course she has some pipes, gotta give credit where it's due there. Still, its glorified pop music with a "Black" stamp of approval. I almost feel like the stamp is given to her because other than Rianna all these other popular pop singers are white. Both of them lack that seal of authenticity that Gladys, or Patti, or Aretha, and a host of others have had throughout the years IMO. Then again, I'm an old soul.
The whole thing about women being able to relate to her, is just indicative of how pathetic a lot of women are in regards to self esteem and insecurity. I hope I die before I ever find myself in a place during life that I need to relate to an artist. I mean how pathetic is your life that you need to identify yourself as being part of a Beyhive? To identify yourself not as a fan, but as a bonafide stan, and not just that, a gang of stans, is some sh!t only foks with self esteem issues would do. It's like people who've been molested and rally around each other for support with the only unique thing in this case being, we're talking about a pop singer. It's pathetic.
