Ummm this random release no promotion trend.... That's it.

beyonce was not the first artist to do this. Again she's a trend hopper, not a trend setter.

beyonce did that after meeting with Death Grips, who had dropped a surprise album with no promotion

Beyonce is the white people of music, she takes things from less popular artists and then acts like she did it first

Let's say Beyonce died today, yea everyone would pretend to be a fan and say she's a legendary artist and a once and a lifetime talent but what would they be saying 30 years later after the dust has settled?

Beyonce has been making music for over 12 years and she doesn't have one classic album and has had very little impact on her genre, especially when you compare her to people like R. Kelly and usher. Sure she's extremely popular, but what has she done that gives her legendary status?

And before you Beyonce fans rush in her moving your necks, clapping your hands, and snapping your fingers talking crazy i do NOT hate Beyonce, I was on the dance team throughout highschool and I used to dance to her music, so dont come up in here talkin bout im hatin on queen bee

And I know you feminine militants are also going to rush into my thread hatin and talking shyt because Beyonce has thrown yall a crumb recently.

edit: and no, an album isn't a classic because you liked it, an album is not a classic because it's gotten 8/10s across the board, a classic is a 9/10 album that will stand the test of time, an album that people will be listening to 30 years from now. Beyonce doesnt have a classic album yet, year there is a big uproar whenever she releases an album but everyone moves on from it after a month or two:yeshrug:
What does she doesn't have a classic album mean?

Who decided tears things and do you think she cares what people like care to classify her music?

I don't know, I don't get it. Other than being attractive, I never understood the allure. Musically, she's never impressed me. Of course she has some pipes, gotta give credit where it's due there. Still, its glorified pop music with a "Black" stamp of approval. I almost feel like the stamp is given to her because other than Rianna all these other popular pop singers are white. Both of them lack that seal of authenticity that Gladys, or Patti, or Aretha, and a host of others have had throughout the years IMO. Then again, I'm an old soul.

The whole thing about women being able to relate to her, is just indicative of how pathetic a lot of women are in regards to self esteem and insecurity. I hope I die before I ever find myself in a place during life that I need to relate to an artist. I mean how pathetic is your life that you need to identify yourself as being part of a Beyhive? To identify yourself not as a fan, but as a bonafide stan, and not just that, a gang of stans, is some sh!t only foks with self esteem issues would do. It's like people who've been molested and rally around each other for support with the only unique thing in this case being, we're talking about a pop singer. It's pathetic.

How do you know what people will be listening to 30 years from now

Longevity has more to do with how big of a fan you are of that person anyway

Who the hell is listening to the Chronic, Illmatic or these other albums y'all claim classic other than the biggest Dre and Nas fans

Don't worry this is just the Beyoncé is so big and popular so let me hate her thread. The funny thing about the longevity argument is that she had and 8x platinum album 18 years ago :wow:

just a prediction. That fact that every album Beyonce releases comes and goes leads me to believe that no one except her fans will be listening to them 30 years from now

nope, even people that aren't fans of artists like MJ can name at least 1 MJ album, same goes for almost every other legendary artist, non Beyonce fans/people that didnt grow up around people that listen to beyonce will struggle just to name one.

Who the hell is listening to the Chronic, Illmatic or these other albums
people that are in the mood for amazing late 90s-early 2000s hip hop
