Actually, the prophecy in Isaiah IS about him. But I already know what argument you're gonna try and use. When you do, I'll prove you wrong, as usual.

Alright. I'll wait for you to show how it so using the context of Isaiah 7....

Can you just answer the questions without coming off so damn bitter? You sound like a child that simply wants to be right, as opposed to actually sharing knowledge. Aren't you christians supposed to be above all that? I'm not trying to deflect

Lol bitter?

And I'm actually doing what scripture says (2 Timothy 3:16) by pointing out your logical fallacy and correcting your mistakes.

Meat and bones lets go-
Ok now that we know his name is actually Yeshua, and he was mixed, why do we continue to call him by something else, and have false images be the general representation of the man? No strawman, just a continuation of that topic. See, how difficult was that?

You do know Yeshua is also a transliteration since it employs Modern English letters?

Moreover, if the New Testament writers (chief among them Paul) woulda had issues with the transliteration Ἰησοῦς (Iesous) or felt salvation could not be attained through it, they wouldn't have used it. The main reason they employed it was due to the impossibility of rendering or pronouncing ישוע (Yeshua) in Koine Greek the way it appeared in Hebrew. Since the NT was written in K.G.

Different languages (No Yud or Y. No Shin of Shh sound in K.G), different grammatical rules (Masculine names end in o, os, us in K.G) etc.

As for false images, blame Roman Catholicism for that. They are a distortion of true Christianity.

You said that the names of deities is a terrible example right? Ok, I can understand your reasons for believing so. But then you're acting like the "Judah" and "Jesus" comparison is all good? Do I need to explain my train of thought further, or do you know where I'm going with this?

That was a terrible example cause both are completely different deities.

Can you tell me which scriptures I should trust the most, and why I should trust them?

Lol I feel like this is a trick question. A better one is, what do you consider to be trustworthy scriptures?

And Allah means "God", or am I wrong?
So I ask again, would it be an issue with Christians, Jews, and everyone else referring to "God" as "Allah". Simple yes or no would be great. No deflections would be greater. Allah is good (all the time!)

Lol @ deflection.

Yes, it would be an issue. Seeing as Allah and YHWH are not the same deity. They are not synonymous because one means God in Arabic.

Again, terrible example.

It would be an issue since 'Allah' is not the same 'God' as found in Judaism and Christianity.

Boils down to the meanings of elohim and monotheism.

Actually, you should show me how it isn't.

Wait heres what you said:

Actually, the prophecy in Isaiah IS about him. But I already know what argument you're gonna try and use. When you do, I'll prove you wrong, as usual.

So if you knew that I would use the argument that the context doesnt fit, are you going to prove me wrong? Or were you lying/mistaken when you said that?

Ok thanks for the info (No sarcasm). I'll make sure to do my own research and get some more details. But on the topic of the Christian God. Is this the same God of the Jews? He is YHWH? (This question relates to the op)

Yes, they are the same which is why the first Christians were Hebrews.

:snoop: Here we go again.

Dont forget what you typed before that.
But I already know what argument you're gonna try and use

Now the argument I used is the context doesnt fit. Now you said that once I used my argument (not proved it) you would prove it wrong. Now can you? Or were you fooling again? If you were fooling or you cant prove it wrong, let me know and we can continue from there lol

Yes and no. Some christians worship Jesus as their god so that would not be YHWH. But other christians worship the Father of Jesus who Jesus claimed was the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. If so, then they would be worshiping the same God of the Jews

The same God that:
1. Walked with Enoch?
2. Spoke to Abram in the city of Ur, and told him he'd make him a great nation from his seed? He also told him circumcise the males as a sign of the covenant correct?
3. Told Noah to build an ark---- the same Noah that begot Shem, Ham, and Japeth?
4. Spoke to Moses, gave him the 10 commandments, and freed his people/Hebrews from captivity in Egypt?

Again, this is related to the op

Who is correct, and why should we have faith in their faith or interpretation? Jews don't worship or believe Yeshua (a Hebrew) is the son of God, they don't believe in the trinity. Yet I'd bet most Christians reference the OT/Hebrew scripture when it speaks of lineage, "history", the commandments, or when they connect the dots with signs and prophecy. Basically, whenever it helps their argument, they're very clear with their data and research, and show common sense.

But its like anything outside of their book is deemed evil or unreliable so its tough to feel like they're being honest in their intent or thinking process. But even amongst certain believers, they don't even agree on the interpretations, amount of scripture we should have faith in, or even the image of god(s), so you see how easy it is for people to become confused.

Yes. Same one. It wasn't until the 2nd Century that Jewish rabbis declared Christianity heretical, 80+ years after Jesus was dead......

Most Christians are not 'Trinitarians', but 'godhead' doctrine has roots almost 1000 years prior to Nicea due to the text of the OT......

Amos 4:11

“I overthrew some of you, as when God overthrew S’dom and ‘Amora; you were like a burning stick snatched from the fire; still you haven’t returned to me,” says Adonai.

If you don't read the above verse critically, you'll miss what's going on.

This one is easier to see....

Genesis 22

1 After these things, God tested Avraham. He said to him, “Avraham!” and he answered, “Here I am.”
2 He said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love, Yitz’chak; and go to the land of Moriyah. There you are to offer him as a burnt offering on a mountain that I will point out to you.”

...........
11 But the angel of Adonai called to him out of heaven: “Avraham? Avraham!” He answered, “Here I am.”
12 He said, “Don’t lay your hand on the boy! Don’t do anything to him! For now I know that you are a man who fears God, because you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

Those Christians who worship Jesus are actually worshiping YHWH just like Abraham.
