How do we stop school shootings without crossing the imaginary line that the pro 2nd amendment crowd has drawn?

You need the south to secede again. Once the red states are no longer apart of the US you can change the gun laws. Until then it's sadly a fantasy.

You’ll never stop mentally ill people from harming themselves and others.

This is something daddy government won’t ever be able to solve.

I’m not in favor of banning guns or repealing the second amendment.
Obviously you can't completely stop it but why does it happen at such a high rate in the United States compared to other countries?

Imo, have the established insurance companies charge for gun insurance and make him insurance mandatory.
That's like the crooked Pill Taxes they used to have to keep Blacks from oting. All that does is make thing easier for the upper class.

They need proper security in and around schools. No one but cops or school security gets in with a gun. Period point blank.

There actually is something other than talking about the logic of gun control which could affect change. Stigmatize the ignorance that has America in a chokehold. Vocalize and normalize how ignorant all arguments for guns in 2023 are. Make it cool and socially approved to be wise, intelligent, thoughtful, kind, empathetic.

People are ultimately susceptible to group trends. If group trends go toward understanding how stupid guns are, guns themselves will begin to be more stigmatized.
This would work in a sane world, but we all know this shyt isn’t sane. :francis: You can’t stigmatize ignorance in America because so many here, especially cacs wear it as a badge of honor. Holding a mirror up to their craziness is like throwing gas on a fire, just makes them stronger:snoop:

Atrocities similar (that involve and don’t involve firearms) to this happen in other countries on the daily.

Just because you don’t hear about it, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

That's not what I said. I asked why doesn't it happen at rates as high as it does in the United States in other countries?

I disagree. It's all about the money at the end of the day. The insurance companies get their cut with the monthly gun insurance fees. Just like car accidents, if the guns which are registered are misused in any capacity, the owner gets charged a higher premium (which nobody wants), especially if the gun is used in a mass shooting. This will make parents more accountable and teach their kids don't dare take the guns from the house and misuse it because they know it will hurt their pockets. Often times with these shooters, they operate on a solo tip. People will think twice if they know their family might have financial consequences for using a gun inappropriately, when they are gone.

When there is a price tag involved, people and companies tend to shape up very quickly.

To your point about making it easier for the upper class, I don't think that's relevant here because it's not individuals from the upper class going around committing mass shootings.

Also does.zero about illegal guns, just punishes legal owners.

Bruh let's end this talking point right now. These mass shootings are not being done with illegal guns. These are being with legal owned guns. Having better regulation is not about punishing legal gun owners it's about protecting society and having more accountability. The good of society should trump all. Period.
