Bruh how is this even an argument? Serious

LA nikkas always been collabing with Bay nikkas all the way back to Too Short, that doesn't change that LA fans for the most part do not follow Bay Area rap outside of the biggest artists like too short.

If anything, the only big overlap between our scene and LA's scene is the backpack scene... Hiero, Living Legends, etc. always had members and fanbases from both regions.

:mjlol:

The bay gave LA nikkaz a sound and a style to run with.

Hyphy birthed ratchet/mustards whole sound. My nikka I was in LA (at USC functions/CSLB/LBSU) when the parties were playin underground bay shyt. (D-LO, DB the general, Sage, Mistah FAB, erk the jerk, hoodstarz) MFs were goin dumb in that bytch.

I got homies and fam IN LA that was bumpin that shyt on the regular. You can't tell me otherwise fam. Bay nikkaz had Chris brown turfin, had Tyga and all them nikkaz soakin up Bay shyt breh.

My lil cousins was all in LA bumpin bay shyt. And LA MFs know and support bay artist. Snoop had FAB writing songs for him. Daz and JT have multiple albums/movies ect.

Breh, I be in LA in the streets and listen to the radio. I have a great feel for what the people are up on :heh:

LA nikkaz was havin sideshows back in like 03-06, ghostwridin the whip and all that breh.

You trippin :heh:

I could literally give you hundreds of songs that LA/Bay nikkaz have done. Shows/concerts/tours etc but you'll just say "the bay and LA dont fukk with eachother:mjlol:

Are you from or do you live in Cali

How many bay nikkas do you see doing in-stores in LA?

Now how many Bay nikkas done did more than one in-store at 7th Heaven in KCMO? J Stalin just did another one there four months ago for what I'm pretty sure is the 3rd time lol. Joe Blow, Philthy Rich, etc. all done multiple in stores there too.

The same is true with Dimples in Sacramento and I'm sure it's the same in Seattle. Why is it that none of these nikkas do meet and greets in LA? Could it be that they know where their albums are actually selling? Lol

I'm not even tryna get in an argument with you, we're usually on the same page.

Another thing Atlanta has been like this since the 90s. This isnt nothing new. The same things that the city is doing today to blow up an artist is what was happening back in the 90s. The only difference is that other regions were also poppin hard at the same time so it didn't feel like Atlanta was "taking over" and one more thing this isnt going to stop anytime soon.

I got family in LA too and I'm out there too, last time I was there was at the west coast hip hop awards at the LA Convention center a year and a half ago. It was more than a few Bay Area artists (Yukmouth, Conscious Daughters, G Dirty of Bearfaced, my DIB nikkas) performing and/or in attendance. You ain't telling me nothing I don't already know.

That being said, the Bay never had a lot of traction in the LA market. It don't matter that a lot of their artists are influenced by ours (213 calling themselves that because of 415, too short's influence period, EA Ski's influence on dr dre and other la producers, etc), their fans don't support our music like that. It's difficult to even find Bay Area CDs in LA outside of Amoeba. Fat Beats fosho never fukked with Bay Area rap outside of backpack shyt, the same is true with most other LA hip hop record stores.

Alotta people don't realize that these "NEW" ATL rappers are all RECYCLED . From Skooly to Bankroll Fresh (Yung Fresh) to Johnny Cinco (5/Five) to Yakki Divioshi to Jose Guapo. I'm 22 and been knowin bout these dudes since I was like a freshman in HS. One thing about these dudes is that they are PATIENT.

ATL is the strip club and trickING culture of the world. they mastered making club beats that cater to thots, and as long as people care on what hoes like, ATL will be on top.

NY used to be the super thug rap capital at one point. When people stopped mean mugging and beefing excessively, ATL came in and took over.
