Lucky's Tale
my issue for awhile is that VR got no gamez. it's like we really don't know what a VR game is. it's seems like a perfect fit for first person games. but straight ports of those games don't work well, mostly because of issues using a stick to control movement, and a lack of independent head movement. it's kind of a dangerous device, since if things aren't done right, people will get feel discomfort and even nausea. turns out fooling your brain can have negative side effects
Valve has done some cool stuff with their room-scale tech, allowing for natural movement, and less risk of feeling ill. they also have a teleportation thing, where you can basically teleport your room space to cover a different area. it works mechanically, but I'm not sure how it would fit into the context of a 'serious' game. like
@Malta said, the room-scale tech would be good for a boxing game, since that involves movement in a limited space. there is a lot of potential there. I'm just not sure how it will translate into a game. but I guess new and innovative ideas aren't that easy to come up with
anyway, seated games seem to work good too. I expect a bunch of driving and flying games. I'm surprised Euro Truck doesn't have support yet
I'm optimistic to get my headset next month. hopefully by then someone will figure out a hack to get OR games to work on the Vive
