I’m short. And can lock up dudes Even a foot taller on the wing. ESP if their are refs and I can take the charge. I got quick feet. Even high level ballers call me glue. I don’t hack I just be all up on their breathing space. Tall dudes lose their dribble against me. And I can even block them. But when I do it ain’t at the peak. It at the very start between waist and chest.
But in the paint I’m food. Height is a major disadvantage on defence.
Offense is a completely different story though
That just signals blowby. All they need is one first step and your done .

Yeah If you got 4.3 40 yard speed and 99.9th percentile vertical. It’s damn hard to find someone with a faster first step than you. Even someone that’s at an nba level. Basketball is more athleticism than height. Most short dudes just aren’t nearly athletic enough
I'm 5'9 but I almost have a 6'3 reach. Being that height, you would expect me to play guard but I was built with broad shoulders and I play with low center gravity(aka no hops) cause I was always around 200 lbs. Always felt like the 4,5 on the court but i was able to manhandle lanky defenders and stay stripping clumsy tall dudes on some Karl Malone shyt. In pro bball to neighborhood street ball I was Malik Rose / Jerome Bettis on the floor

tfw you are too talented, too savage, too conditioned to be bothered by anyone of any height on the court. only pros or serious D1 talent can even fukk with me out there. nowadays i just be out there droppin dimes bc my shot is land o the lakes, straight butta brehs. shyt, last week i willed my team to the victory with fifteen points. we was playin to 11 brehs. i'm just too nice with it.
I'm 6'1" and I can't think of any particularly annoying short guys who guarded me. Usually you had to put someone shorter than me on me because I was too quick for guys my own size.
Actually, the most annoying defenders for me were fast skinny guys who were taller than me, because they were the only ones athletic enough to stay with me and then still block my shyt clean.
The absolute worst though is dem ballers who always be calling "Foul!" when you block them or strip them clean. I'm thinking OP is one of those fellas.

At my height, dudes are never clamping me up, also add to the fact that I actually know how to shoot and take it inside, more men my height suck at ball.

Exactly, OP is just making excuses. I'm short and play D because that's how I contribute. Tall whiners call it fouling when they get hemmed up. OP wants short men to watch him dribble dribble. Stifling D isn't a foul either. Develop a triple threat game in the paint and short guys can't guard you.
