3 MVPs and two chips is a rare tier. I see why people would have him top 15.
:skip:
This season was a great season for him. His running mates are barely top 50 players (Murray is cool but was hurt this year).
:why:
Dude doesn’t have a single all star, all defensive player, or all nba player on his squad during this 5 year run.
:ehh:
That said, he didn’t deserve this years MVP. Brunson and SGA did more with less. SGA’s squad was healthier but still unproven. Name his second best teammate? Brunson drug the Knicks to the 2nd seed.
:yeshrug:
The media and voting members didn’t want to go against the grain/train. True objective voters would have had SGA, Brunson, Jokic.

I say that because 2 MVPs/2 FMVPs/2 chips would have him in the 16-25 range instead of the tier he would break into if he gets a chip.

If he wins #2, I have him the #2 big man all time behind Duncan.

He's dominant in every way (except defense) and neither Shaq, nor Hakeem, nor Kareem is winning multiple championships with this Nuggets team. And honestly it's his passing that sets him apart. The best passing big man ever, sees the entire floor, and if your defense makes one tiny mistake he can make you pay in a split second--that's what makes him truly great.

Still needs to put more effort in on the defensive side of the ball though :yeshrug:
