I know comedians are naturally more forgiving, but Dave Chappell should not be ok with this caption

We gotta stop being so sensitive. I'm not saying if dude is right or wrong for saying that but having folks walk on eggshells around us is just gonna make them not deal with us in the first place.

Remember Chris Rock allowing Louis CK to say the N-word to his face in front of the comedians while Jerry Seinfeld was :what: and :whoa:

That kind of describes Black ppl as a whole

We give white ppl passes and have a lot more c00ns
Meanwhile Jess don't play with that shyt

People aren't good at reading between the lines.

He isn't going to throw Rogan under the bus. He's made it pretty clear that he dislikes the tendency of combing through people's history to drag them. He would also be crucifying himself when considering the shots his latest material took at the trans community.

If he was to try and take the high horse, people would rightfully call him a hypocrite.

That aside, the internet as a whole must realise that they cannot expect to drag and roast people at a whim, and then demand that someone disassociates themselves with someone else because they did something wrong.

I personally don't fukk with Rogan. However I wouldn't expect someone who is friends with him to have the same approach. I'd expect them to act in consideration of their friendship with him. I'd also expect them to question the value of the people pressuring them to act a certain way.

Ppls definition of friends is real loose

Dave Chappelle ain't grow up with that man
Hrs just a Hollywood buddy

Is this the part where we start saying Chappelle was never a good comic
no it's the part where we can acknowledge that only a clown would allow white people to play with him like that whether he dude has classic material or not

Rogan is stepping out of his wheelhouse of comedy. I think it's different.

It's not comedy so I don't see how but hes a comedian works here.

First you get the money. Then you get the power. And then you get the respect.

In that order.

You can't get respect if you can't command it. You can't command it without power. Money is one of the means to acquire power.

:dwillhuh:

I'm not trying to defend Rogan and I'm not saying that David is defending him under the umbrella of people saying shyt as comedians.

My point is that David has made his thoughts on outrage over the internet clear.

I'd be surprised if left himself open to claims of hypocrisy by calling for someone to be cancelled, reacting to comments made years ago, calling on people to be more sensitive with their words etc.

I'd be surprised if he threw someone he was cool with under the bus because people on the internet pressured him into doing so. He's made it clear that he looks at internet groups with a degree of disdain. I don't know if some of that goes back to his first breakdown.

I'm not going to fault him for it. At the end of the day, he's standing by his principles. These are the implications of things we laughed about, at least I laughed about, in his previous special. I'm not going to act outraged when his principles are applied to someone I don't like, that would make me a hypocrite.

I don't care if it makes me a hypocrite. A platform that big shouldn't allow junk science to flow like facts especially outside of the anything goes critique of comedy. These brothers have let a personal relationship blind them. You can yuck yuck it up with a race of people and still believe they have genetic brain deficiencies with your core audience.

Rogans not going anywhere until the viewership stops supporting

Mofos say the wildest shyt to each other, but sensitive then a mofo cause a white said it.

Respect aint got a color!

Always at arms about the softest shyt...

Acting like they ain't using it at concerts that fund ya favorite artist lavish lifestyle...

I bet white people that get labeled racist are respectful as shyt in Black people presence and vice versa.
