Man shut up :dead:

Is it Quicksilver ....or OldGold? :sas2:

Prince released 7 albums in the 80s and was still critically acclaimed by the end of the decade and respected.

Eminem was falling from grace by his 4th album. Sales are important but it isnt the be all end all. If your releasing bullshyt why should that be seen as an advantage?

Look at someone like Nas...look how over the years he has gotten respect from having scholarships named after him, getting interviews in respected universities, getting medals, etc.

Back in the day Eminem was bigger than him but thats why i said he is QuickSilver. Even Eminem's own people have been bored with him. I dont think alot of you realize just how bad his music ages.
Ye Nas dying would totally be a bigger deal then Eminem dying :mjlol:

Eminem has or will never get the respect his career deserves:

Overrated by Pop fans/general populations/white people
Underrated by heads/Coli members/black people.

nobody underrates Eminem.

just because you don't rate Eminem highly, it doesn't mean that you underrate him.

I feel like I overrate him actually. I have him in the top 50, even tho he doesn't have any albums worth writing home about.

No. Idiotic question

how is it idiotic?

people get put on undeserved pedestals when they die everyday b.

and theres an agenda to push in this case.

maybe for people who grew up in the 2000s and after.

prince had a far bigger fanbase in his prime alone. not to mention, he was around for generations.

mabye from a white or media standpoint but thats where it stops....of course the legends or b level mc's would speak on it but thats about it....the black brown asian or latin community wouldnt be affected at all...no worldwide memorial like MJ and im sure a muhhfukkas mom and pops wouldnt shed no tears over his death like Prince...Em could spit and was a phenomenon at one point but musically hell no ! the earth will not stand still for him ...

If Eminem dies, it will be one of the biggest news stories for days on end. The hip hop community is going to stop for him because of his status and he is going to be given a lot of respect from people all over the world. Contrary to what 95% of this site thinks, Eminem has become a household name in hip hop. When you think of the genre, you think of him alongside Nas, Jay, Pac, and whatnot. Consider the fact that he has crossover appeal and is looked at as an icon by many. I don't get why anyone here is saying that his death will be one of those "here today, gone tomorrow" deals.

As for his death having that MJ/Prince impact, you know the answer to that question.

Of course it will. Eminem invented Hip Hop, du-rags, hair dye, multi-syllable rhyme schemes, and the Internet.

There will be a monument in DC...rightfully so.

Exactly what I'm talking about.
