I think what it proves is that the Giants just aren't that bright right now. They've got the talent. They apparently don't have the smarts. The good thing tho is the east looks like a dumpster fire right now
No, they don't really have the talent. Or at least, they don't have the talent playing well right now.
Their lineman can't run block.
They don't have receiving threats outside of Odell.
Their linebacking corps is lacking again.
Their safeties don't make plays.
Their tight ends point blank aren't good enough, and I'm feeling shytting about cutting Robinson, because while he was a disappointment, he blocked.
And on top of that, they're making shytty, stupid decisions. I love eli, and he's capable of playing as well as any quarterback in the league for stretches... but he's not great. He can't force the issue and make plays like Aaron Rogers, or Brady or younger Peyton.
On top of that, the team is making stupid mistakes and fukking up opportunities... and while they were in both of these games... they were games they were essentially GIFTED, and blew in the 4th. Because they can't close, because they can't make plays, because they're just not that good.
We knew the defense would be lacking, but the offense was supposed to get us 28 a game. They're not. Randle clearly hasn't recovered from the tendinitis, Parker is falling apart at the seams mentally... maybe they should install Davis? The line isn't run blocking well enough to get lanes for Jennings/Dre/Vereen.
The only thing that looks improved from last year is special teams. Shout out to Harris, Brown, and Brad Wing DA GAWD.
That being said, this team can still turn it around pretty easily... but you don't wanna start 0-3. And you already gave away two winnable games, which good teams just don't do.
