:francis: my nikka dont even start no more. Tim is cemented. This next ring is just icing.

edit: Kobe fukked himself beefing with Shaq. He coulda racked up rings with him and let Shaq naturally go flabby while he ascended to being the man and grabbing the MVPs like Wade was able to do in 06. Gotta give Tim credit for staying down and letting San Antonio front office/ young players work.

More like Shaq fukked himself beefing with Kobe, disrespecting Phil, showing up to camp fat, waiting til the season started to get foot surgery, claiming it was "his team" but not playing the leader role and deading the beefs.

Dr. Buss was smart when he picked one over the other and it just shows (after his death) that he knew what the fukk he was doing.

Duncan is a role player on this team, and there's a good chance he doesn't even play that much assuming a series with GSW.

Honestly, as a Burrs fan, this 6th ring would be akin to Kareem's 6th ring. What sucks is he should already have six if Kawhi could hit a free throw or Pop didnt try to out coach himself in '13. Legacy already cemented tho. Top 5 Dead or Alive.
He should only have 4. If Ringworm Wallace didn't leave Horry open, Detroit would've won the series. Puncan played like shyt in that series too.

That he is a top 3-4 player of all time and had a better career than Kobe?

Timothy Theodore Duncan is the GOAT PF and if he wins a 6th ring, he'll move up into top 4 NBA player all time on my list behind MJ, Magic and Bird. Actually think you could place him top 3 above Bird if you wanted to...you could make an argument for it.

Yes, I think thats fair...... since he's already a top 5 player of alltime, I'm fine with moving him one or 2 more spots up:sas2:

Tim has had a better career regardless. If the Warriors or the Spurs win it's all good. I have nothing but respect for Tim and Pop. Being from Oakland, it would be just as sweet if the Warriors repeat. The Spurs are the only team that can beat G.S. in a 7 game series and that's if they don't run out of gas.

when LeBron left Cleveland, the Cavs died
when Shaq left Orlando, the Magic died
when Hakeem left Houston, the Rockets died
when Jordan left Chicago, the Bulls died
when Kobe fell off, the Lakers died
when Tim fell off, the Spurs got better

Duncan is good, but he was product of system :yeshrug:
