Cacs in here exposin theyself

he already ranks higher than kobe to most heads, so why bring kobe up? that's like beating on a dead horse.
he'll never be a top 3 or 4 player tho.
and like somebody already said early on, hes been a roleplayer for a while now. at best, him padding his stats with more rings will be ammo for revisionists 20 years from now, who want to put him in the top 5.
THIS.
beat me to it.
why isn't bill Russell in this picture?![]()
You can say Tim had a more accomplished career, but Kobe was better than Tim in their primes. Kobe dominated dude.
they don't play anywhere near the same position, so its not possible for one to dominate the other.
kobe played on teams with shaq. and later with gasol/odom/Bynum.
that had more to do with the lakers having the spurs number, than kobe.

He dominated with his performances relative to Tim's. It's just like people will say Tim is greater than Shaq alltime, but nobody would pick Tim over Shaq in their primes. Prime Shaq shyts on the nikka. Tim & Karl Malone are the kings of being very good for a long time. But a prime Barkley is better than a prime Malone and just like mad players are better than a prime Tim.
They were never gonna give Kobe one because Shaq was always better than bean and in what universe is Shaq getting 28 and 12 considered getting worked? You really gonna act like bean didn't play like shyt in two of those three finals and turn in the worst game 7 a superstar has ever turned in?thats a whole other argument, u know they were never gonna give kobe a finals mvp over shaq
shaq been to 2 finals without kobe, got worked by hakeem in 1 and got carried to a win by wade in another which h averaged 16 points
kobe been to 3 finals without shaq and won TWO!
Yeah it's a shame Kobe never had van exel or Eddie jones or Robert horry or glen rice or Horace grant or Derek fisher or Rick fox or Lamar odom or Andrew Bynum or Gary Payton or Karl Malone or pau gasol or Dwight Howard or Shaq for his peak years and really really sucks that Kobe chased off both Dwight and Shaq.Tim won championships in 3 different decades. After MJ retired, he and Kobe started eating. The difference is that Tim and Pop has been consistent throughout the different eras. Sucks that Kobe never had the supporting cast as long as Tim did
who are these "cacs" that you speak of?
people would respect it more if you just took your L like a man, instead of this horrid attempt of saving face.
kobe was never the x-factor in beating the spurs. that's all I'm saying.
I don't even disagree with the rest of this stuff. but its off-topic.
for the record, neither Duncan or kobe are in my top 10. more like top 15 for Duncan. top 15 - maybe 20 for kobe.
and yea, if we're talking pound-for-pound and primes, then peoples' lists would be completely different. that wouldn't necessarily benefit kobe tho. it would put him over Duncan, but it brings other guys into the convo.
Are you serious? Ask Pop about how Kobe used to kill them.
Against the Spurs
2001 Playoffs:
45 10 & 2 on 54%
28 7 & 6 on 46%
36 9 & 8 on 52%
24 2 & 11 on 52%
2008 Playoffs;
Kobe avg 29 6 & 4 on 53%
What kind of factor would you consider Kobe to be?
in 2002) to counter Kobe until 2003 when Stephen Jackson and Ginobili started balling. Kobe had some great stat lines against SA, but Duncan had his own as well (dude had a 30/25 game in 01 I think, and closed out LA with a 30/16 game or something like that in 03).(I think) what dude is saying is that Shaq and Duncan basically cancelled each other out, but Kobe ate because SA didn't have an offensive perimeter threat (Derek Anderson got injured in 2001, Antonio Danielsin 2002) to counter Kobe until 2003 when Stephen Jackson and Ginobili started balling. Kobe had some great stat lines against SA, but Duncan had his own as well (dude had a 30/25 game in 01 I think, and closed out LA with a 30/16 game or something like that in 03).
